More Utah Fun

Thursday was my most favorite day. We drove up to Fielding to visit with my 2nd cousin Krisy and great aunt Rae (my gramee's sister). We used to go here every summer and I have the best memories of visiting there each and every year growing up. Life is so different in the little town. I love going and reminiscing. It's also fun to see my kids now there enjoying as I always did.
Rae's house
The sky is so beautiful in Fielding! And this view in front of her house is amazing.
We drove down the road to where my Great Grandpa lived. I remember walking to this house from Rae's every summer.
There was a scrapbook that was fun looking through. Lots of history in it.
My Grammy and Grampy's wedding announcement
No days absent - Good job Gram!
Krisy's daughter Paisley was there also and the boys enjoyed playing with her. She is so quiet and cute!
Rae's neighbor had some deer. The boys were in heaven feeding them.
Krisy made us a nice lunch and she also brought some homemade ice cream - Seriously Delish!!
After we had been there for a couple hours Jett started having a meltdown. He saw a candy cane on the counter and that triggered his insane crying after that.
Box Elder bugs. They still creep me out.
Yep, still crying
Krisy and I
Kaiya and Rae
Still crying
Cannon was brave and let the bug crawl around on his hand
Tried to take a nice picture with the kids
Wasn't really working
My mom wanted to stop by the cemetery to take pictures of some of the headstones for a genealogy site that she is putting info onto
Seriously....this picture looks like it was photoshopped....but nope! It's just beautiful!
We left and met Kaylee at the Mexican food place where we had ate the day before. We then went to their house to hang out one last time and eat some ice cream sundaes and root beer floats.
Rusty told Kaiya that he was eating ice cream with BBQ sauce on it (which was really chocolate syrup) and she believed him. She could not believe he was eating that!!! It took only a little while and Rusty convinced Kaiya to try it. She took a bite and ran to the bathroom. She thought it was nasty!! (of course)
Rusty then told her he was teasing her the whole time. Kaiya laughed and was a good sport. Rusty needs to watch his back though. Someday she will be getting him back! It was very comical to watch.
We left not on the best terms (Kaylee and I). I really have spent all of Kaylee's life trying to protect and help my sister. I have always been there for her. But after a while I just have to stand back and think about me. I don't need to be treated horribly. I do a lot for people and I am so sick and tired of being stepped on. If they don't care about me....why should I take time out of my busy life to care about them? Time to reevaluate!! :) I have come to terms with it. I am ready to just move on and life. Anyways, besides that the trip to Utah was a blast!
Kaiya and the boys snuggling
On Friday we packed up our stuff and checked out of the hotel. We drove to Ogden to a cool dinosaur park. We went there a few years back when we were in Utah for Nate and Amy's wedding. I knew that the boys would have a blast! Even Kaiya enjoyed it! At first she complained...the next thing I knew she was taking a million selfies with all of the dinosaurs and the boys.
The inside of the museum
Outside we walked around looking at big awesome dinosaurs. The boys really did have a blast running around! It made them tired and by the time we got into the car to make the long drive they were all worn out.
I remember a picture I had of Kaiya on my first blog post ever with her sitting on this dinosaur. I quickly pulled it up on my phone and had her reenact it. She has changed so much since then. She was just barely 6 and in the most recent picture she was soon to be 12. We will have to go back in another 6 years!
Do you see Jett?
Kaiya and Cannon
They loved going up and down the slide
But first let me take a selfie....
Poser
I can usually get a nice picture of the kids (after taking about 20 crazy ones). This is an example of some of the crazy ones I usually get.
Kaiya was scared of this dinosaur

On the road again! We drove to Ontario, Oregon and stayed the night there. I had reserved and paid for the room our last night in Utah. I had told the kids if they were good we could go swimming when we got there (Jett's eyes were better). Once we got there the boys were going nuts!!! They were being super bad and crying a ton. We were there only about 15 minutes (or less) and someone complained that we were too loud (some grouch lady in the room next to us). The workers there were incredibly nice and we were able to move to a different room in a wing of the hotel not a lot of people were in. Not cool.
Anyways, so we headed to the pool and found out the heater was broken!!! Jett and Cannon wanted to swim so bad and I felt awful since I had been promising them all day so I got in that freezing cold water with them to splash around for a bit. It didn't really seem to affect them and they didn't want to get out. I couldn't handle it anymore. Sad.
The next day I made sure that we took our break in Ellensburg so we could visit one of our favorite people - Taryn. It was fun to see her. After we played at a park for a bit we went back to her dorm and she showed Kaiya and I her room. It really made Kaiya more excited to go to college. It was fun to see where she lived.
Kaiya was very anxious to get home. Since she didn't hang out with her friends all of Spring Break I told her if we got home in time we could go see the Muppet Movie with them. We made it back with just barely enough time and I was exhausted but like any good mom....I took the spoiled brat.
As you can see Ava was here too! When we got home she was out front waiting for us (with Ella). She flew in that Saturday and would be with us the whole week during her Spring Break.
