Finally! A sunny day!

Last Friday it was so nice outside. We were going to go to the zoo but my mom ended up having to work. We decided to just go into our backyard and sit in the sun on the trampoline.

Kaiya is one of those kids that is afraid of EVERYTHING. I had bought some pop its (the firework things) at Target a couple of weeks ago and it took 5 minutes trying to convince Kaiya that they were fun and that they wouldnt hurt her.
She wont get up on the ladder to the trampoline because there is a spider the size of a flea on it. I am trying to make her tougher but it just isnt working. It was getting hot outside and I decided to bring Ella inside. Kaiya was still on the trampoline and wanted help down. I told her that the spider was gone and I would go into the house and watch to make sure that no bugs got her. She still refused to get down from the trampoline by herself. She seriously stood there for 15 minutes trying to convince herself that she could do it. I walked away for a little bit and came back to her saying a prayer asking for someone to help her off the tramp. I felt bad and went to help...

Nap time

My little independent baby has been going to sleep on her own lately. I will lay her on the couch, bed or ground give her a blankie and her binkie and within 5 minutes she is out. Kaiya was a baby that always needed someone to put her to sleep so I am enjoying this!

Happy Birthday Mom!!

My mom's 29th birthday was June 7th but it was also the day my cousin got married. That weekend was pretty busy so we decided to celebrate her birthday last Friday. We had a lasagna dinner and cheesecake for dessert. My aunt and uncle were also able to come over which was nice.

The story of this picture - I was standing on the side of the table and I told my mom not to blow out the candles until I ran over on the other side. Well, Cirdan told her to blow out the candles before I got there (not realizing I told her not to) so she did. I made her blow out the candles again without them lit.

Cute lil guy

I took Kaiya over to Stacey and Landis' house last night to meet her cousin Casey. This is pretty exciting since Casey is her first cousin that lives near us! All of the others are in Arizona or Spokane. Thankfully she does have a lot of 2nd cousins in the area. Kaiya loved Casey and thought he is sooo cute.

On another note - I need to paint my walls in my house before I return to work and I dont know what color to do!! I cant look at a little swatch of color and imagine it on my wall. If anyone has any ideas let me know. I am in desperate need of some help.

Stop! No moms...??

I told Kaiya to go to her room last Thursday for a little time out. All night she had not been listening to me. I start talking to her and I see her turn off after about 5 seconds and she starts looking up at the ceiling or the wall and I know I have lost her attention. After about 5 minutes I went to go and talk to her in her bedroom and this is what I found outside her door...

It says STOP NO MOMS and there is a little picture of me on it...

Please someone out there tell me that this is normal and their kids do/did this. :)

I'm a new aunt!!

Stacey had her baby last night around 8:00. She had to have a c-section because the little guy wouldnt come out! The baby's name is Casey. He weighed 6 pounds 8 ounces and was 18 inches long. I went to see him this morning and he is sooo cute! He has long blond hair and a cute little dimple in his chin. It is weird to look down at a brand new baby boy since I am so used to looking at little girls.

Had to put in a pic of Ella.. :)

Daddy's lil helper

I left the room yesterday to get ready to go to the dentist and this is what I came back to...

Cirdan is playing Mario Cart on the Wii and I guess Ella is helping him! Hmmmm...

Here are some pictures of Ella that I took this morning...

Oh and my sister Stacey IS IN LABOR!!! Her water broke this morning and I am waiting for the phone call to say my new little nephew is here! I cant wait to meet him!!

So annoyed!!

We bought a little device that holds bird food so the little birdies can come eat and we can enjoy seeing the many different birds that have been visiting our yard. Well, in the last week this annoying woodpecker keeps coming and pecking at the food causing it to fall to the ground. At first it was kind of cool seeing a woodpecker so close and now it is just ANNOYING. This morning he even brought a friend. I have been trying to scare the dumb thing away for the past couple of days which is pretty much a full time job. I need to get a life!!! :)

Ella's blessing weekend

We had such a wonderful weekend with family! Cirdan's parents, sister, nephews and niece drove from Spokane and his step sister was in town from Portland. On Saturday Cirdan and his dad played a round of golf while Sue (his step mom) and Hannah (niece) came over and started making baked beans. When Cirdan and his dad got here we had a very delicious bbq! My mom and sister were also over followed by my dad later that night.
Sunday morning we got up early and got ready for the blessing and lunch. Richard (Cirdan's dad) gave a beautiful blessing. Cirdan and I both held back our tears. After church we had our family join us at our house for lunch. We had Cirdan's family, my sisters and parents, Grandma, Uncle Gary and Aunt Cheryl, Uncle Rod and Aunt Kim, Cousin Matt with his wife Carla and 5 kids, Cousin Stephanie and Brody and their 4 kids. We had a houseful! All the kids got along really well and we had a nice time visiting. I was so happy to have all of them at the blessing. They are all very special to us.
