1st Day of School

The Kindergartner and the 6th Grader
Ella is in full day Kindergarten. It was bittersweet. I felt like I was losing her but also excited for her to learn a lot and for her to have new adventures. I also think that in full day Kindergarten they learn so much more. I am not sure anymore how they would fit all that stuff into a 1/2 day! Ella was very excited for her teacher. She was actually my sister Kaylee's teacher in Kindergarten. She is also the same teacher that had the Preschool nights at the school last year. She is very involved and cares about her kids in the class. Ella got lucky!!
Kaiya has the same teacher I had in 4th and 6th grade! I told her not to be scared....that she may seem mean but she will be one of the best teacher she will have. I was happy Kaiya will be at the school with  Ella and not in Middle School this year (like a lot of her friends).
We walked the girls to school that rainy morning. It was not a very pretty day. Not cool for the 1st day....but it's Washington...
This is as far as I got with Kaiya. She wouldn't let me get any closer. I guess she is too cool for me now. :(
You can see her teacher there off to the right...
Ella at her class
Ella still thinks we are cool enough to take a picture with her
We stalked Ella in her classroom and took some pictures. She walked right in and sat down at her table.
I got home and felt bad because I didn't have anything special for them when they got home. Cirdan, the boys and I ran to Walgreens and picked up some stuff for them. There is 3 because there are some kids we know from dance who come in the morning to walk with the kids to and from school. Safety in numbers and their mom works from home so it helps her out.
1st day is done! Ella's teacher in the picture...
The kids
We always have to take a picture with all the kids
The girls loved their goodies
