My Boy and I

Looking thru my phone and camera pictures and there is a whole lot of pictures like this....
I wonder where Cannon gets it?? Hmmmmmm

Running in the Snow

I was helping out in Ella's class one Tuesday in February and it started to snow. One of the kids saw it and told the teacher. She told the kids to hurry and get their coats on. They all stopped what they were doing to go run around and play. It was so fun to watch. Ella is lucky to have such a great teacher!

Stay At Home

This morning I lost it. I really try hard to keep it all together and not let things affect me. I might snap here and there but I try and keep a lot in. Last night the last thing I said to Kaiya was....make sure you get up early enough in the morning to clean your room up. The cleaner is coming tomorrow. This morning I had told Kaiya at least 5 time to make sure her room was clean before going to school. After she left I went upstairs and it was still a mess....

I exploded. I felt like I am not cut out to be a stay at home mom anymore and that this whole time I have been failing. I spend pretty much every day cleaning up after people. While I clean, the boys are in the other room (or same room) making a mess. The girls come home after school...leave all their stuff by the front door on the floor and then start with their constant messes. I feel like its 4 against 1!

I am glad Cirdan was still around this morning to give me a hug.

Superbowl Par-tay

Cirdan and I were planning our Superbowl party the Friday before the game. What we should eat etc. Then he called me to ask if we could go to NYC to the game. Ummmm what?? My mom agreed to watch the kids and we got our plane tickets. Then I started freaking out. I didn't want to go to a big strange city and not know where I was going. I don't work that way. I need to plan and prepare mentally. The thing that pushed me over the edge was looking at how to get to the stadium. You couldn't park there or even take a cab. It was one of their fan express buses and when I looked since it was so late the buses were all full and no more tickets were being sold. That's when I told Cirdan to call his friend Jake to see if he could go with him. (they had been talking about it already)
He called Jake and they pulled it together to fly out that next day. I was relieved! He would have much more fun with Jake and not me. I however decided I still wanted to have the Superbowl party that we had been planning. When I had told Kaiya that the party was maybe going to be cancelled if Cirdan and I was in NY she started to cry. She was happy I was staying and we could still have people over. I was happy that she was really looking forward having her friends over. She is getting to that age where she doesn't like hanging out with her family much. Tear.
The Carringtons, Trinidads and some other kids from dance came to our house. We had a TON of food. The day before the kids helped me make cupcakes and white chocolate popcorn (green and blue of course) and I put together a lot of other food. The kids had the game on upstairs and the adults (and some kids) watched downstairs. At half time the boys went outside to throw a football. It was an amazing game!!! We all had a lot of fun being together and celebrating. It was weird to not have Cirdan here but I knew he was having a blast in NJ.
The Seahawks won 43-8. It was awesome!!!! I was happy Cirdan got to experience their first Super Bowl win. It is something he will never forget!
This was taken the day before he left

There they go!! NJ or bust! (The day before the game)
Football oreo cookies
We face timed with Cirdan when he got to the stadium
Touchdown!!
Every picture I took someone was looking in an odd direction (I took at least 6). I was laughing so they told me to take one more picture and this is what they did....

Kaiya PTA Reflections 2014

'Believe, Dream, Inspire'
Kaiya participated in Reflections again this year. She entered a poem and also entered a piece that she choreographed. She won 1st in her school (for choreo) and then went on to districts which she also won 1st place at! Next is State which is held sometime in March (I think?). I am extremely proud of her. She has such a busy dance schedule but still has time to do extra school activities.

January Stuff

This happens often.

Carter's Birthday! He turned 3 so we went over to his house to celebrate. My mom made that amazing cake!
January was dealing with more sick kids.
Trying to get outside even if it was freezing to get some fresh air. The boys love being outside and could spend all day in the cold. Me on the other hand….can't! I can only tolerate so much but I have to bundle up and go outside so the boys can have some play time.
This elf that Ella made at school makes me smile. I love it!!! We put it on her bedroom door and had it up until the boys started to try and rip it down. I think this is one of the coolest project she has done. It's hilarious!
Cannon loves playing some of Papas drums at his house
