Cirdan and I were planning our Superbowl party the Friday before the game. What we should eat etc. Then he called me to ask if we could go to NYC to the game. Ummmm what?? My mom agreed to watch the kids and we got our plane tickets. Then I started freaking out. I didn't want to go to a big strange city and not know where I was going. I don't work that way. I need to plan and prepare mentally. The thing that pushed me over the edge was looking at how to get to the stadium. You couldn't park there or even take a cab. It was one of their fan express buses and when I looked since it was so late the buses were all full and no more tickets were being sold. That's when I told Cirdan to call his friend Jake to see if he could go with him. (they had been talking about it already)
He called Jake and they pulled it together to fly out that next day. I was relieved! He would have much more fun with Jake and not me. I however decided I still wanted to have the Superbowl party that we had been planning. When I had told Kaiya that the party was maybe going to be cancelled if Cirdan and I was in NY she started to cry. She was happy I was staying and we could still have people over. I was happy that she was really looking forward having her friends over. She is getting to that age where she doesn't like hanging out with her family much. Tear.
The Carringtons, Trinidads and some other kids from dance came to our house. We had a TON of food. The day before the kids helped me make cupcakes and white chocolate popcorn (green and blue of course) and I put together a lot of other food. The kids had the game on upstairs and the adults (and some kids) watched downstairs. At half time the boys went outside to throw a football. It was an amazing game!!! We all had a lot of fun being together and celebrating. It was weird to not have Cirdan here but I knew he was having a blast in NJ.
The Seahawks won 43-8. It was awesome!!!! I was happy Cirdan got to experience their first Super Bowl win. It is something he will never forget!
This was taken the day before he left
There they go!! NJ or bust! (The day before the game)
Football oreo cookies
We face timed with Cirdan when he got to the stadium

Every picture I took someone was looking in an odd direction (I took at least 6). I was laughing so they told me to take one more picture and this is what they did....
