Carlsbad, California

We rented a house in Carlsbad instead of getting hotel rooms. I was nervous about it. With the little kids I didn't want them to ruin anything or have them be the monsters they are in someone else's house. The night we got there, I told Cirdan that we would NEVER rent a house again.  The kids were just excited and being crazy the night we arrived, but once they settled in, it was great.  It all went really well and I was so happy we rented a house. We had the pool all to ourselves and everyone had their own room. It was perfect! The house we rented also had everything we needed. Lots of kid toys, a game room with ping pong and foosball, Tv's in pretty much every room except bathrooms, pool toys, a spa, outdoor fire pit...it was great!
We had to check out of our Anaheim hotel at noon but couldn't check into the house until 5:00 pm so we had some time to kill. We picked up some Mexican food and then found a nice park to hang out at until it was 5.
The house had a cute little table for the boys. It was perfect.
Cirdan dove and put his legs in the air, walking on his hands. Immediately Ella had to try it. She got it right away.
Ella still practicing
Took Kaiya a while to get into the pool. She thought it would be cold. Once she got in she sure enjoyed it though!
Ella always wants to push the limits with swimming. She does know how to swim but not as an expert, which she thinks she is. Cirdan got her a life vest that was too small so luckily we found some  arm floaties at the house so Ella could go over to the deep end.
The boys love swimming. They would always cry when it was time to get out.

Took Kaiya a while a couple different times to get on the floats. She would get on and then fall off immediately. It was our entertainment for a bit.
Finally on!
The spa was a perfect 'pool' for Jett
Ella diving to get rings at the bottom of the pool. She did this for 2+ hours.
Somersaults
These pictures from the 3 full days we had in Carlsbad at the house we rented. We were going to go to Legoland or SeaWorld but by the time we got there we all just wanted to chill and not go stand in lines and be with a bunch of people. It all worked out perfectly. Next time we will have to do the other amusement parks....just gives us more of a reason to go back!
