California - Disneyland

The kids were excited for the flight. Jett said he was scared because he is scared of heights (he is a scardy cat). The flight went well. Jett sat by Cirdan and I sat by crazy Cannon. Cannon ended up watching a movie and then falling asleep. I even was able to watch a movie!

These are the pictures taken with Cirdan's phone. I will have to download my phone pictures when we get home. I brought my camera but apparently I like Cirdan's phone pictures a ton better because I didn't take one picture with it.

On the shuttle to the car rental

We finally got to our hotel (traffic and made a stop at in and out). Settled in and Cirdan went to the store for snacks and stuff we forgot. Jasmin and I took the kids swimming. (Jasmin is the nanny who came with us)

The next morning we woke up super early and made it to Disneyland (after waiting for the shuttle for a bit) by 8:30am. We headed straight for California Adventure.

There was hardly any lines in Bugs Land so we started there.

I was surprised how short the lines were for pictures with characters. The boys love meeting some of their favorite people in real life.

We stopped and ate lunch. There were a couple snails sitting on a pole next to us. Jett was having fun looking at them. He even got brave enough to touch the shell on one. (I was a little grossed out but of course can't show that emotion)

Each day we would ride the shuttle back to our hotel around 1:00, swim, and then head back over to the park around 5:00. It was perfect. The parks started to get pretty crowded around noon so it worked out great.

What a bunch of hunks

We went on the Cars ride while Cirdan and Cannon stayed out to wait for us. Jett made it on the ride BARELY (Cirdan kept telling him to stand tall, he stood on his toes and the ride guy didn't care, he even jumped up once LOL) but Cannon was a hair too short. Jett ended up being freaked out the entire time and hated the ride. I was busy comforting him. It was my first time and I loved it!!! It was one of the best rides I have ever been on.

The boys got Lightning McQueen containers with popcorn in it. That was their excitement for the night. Of course, Jett ended up dumping all his out on accident.

Next day - We made it to the park early, around 7:15am. We started at Disneyland.

Jett wanted every single toy at the park. Cirdan bought both boys a bubble machine.

Cirdan figured out that if we make reservations at one of the special restaurants we got priority seating to shows. We ended up doing that on Thursday and Friday nights. Thursday we ate some pretty gross but expensive food. We were all stuffed but we got front row seats to Fantasmic!

On Friday Cirdan and Jasmin took the boys to Goofy's kitchen for brunch. I took the girls to Ariels Grotto (pictures to follow from my camera).

Cannon was asleep for half of it, and was grouchy for the most of it but Jett got to take a picture with all the characters.

We left the bubble machine at the hotel on accident so when the girls and I met Cirdan, Jasmin and the boys they had new ones (nice daddy)

When we went back we just stayed at California Adventure. We had dinner reservations and got priority seating (actually this show was standing only...not good for a short girl) for World of Color.

I tried to get him to hug Mater- he wouldn't.

This was the dessert. After eating a huge 2 course meal. EEK!! 

I love it at night - all the lights.

I would have stayed and partied until midnight when it closed but the kids were tired so we left. (BOO HOO) There was a concert and baseball game ending around the same time so it took a good hour to get back to our hotel.

WE HAD A BLAST!!! Next year we will go when it is not so crowded. The kids didn't really seem to mind and we actually accomplished a lot in those 3 days. Love these times with the kids.
