We are home ! It was an amazing vacation in Arizona. We left on a Saturday around 3:00 pm and we flew home the next Saturday around 5:00 pm. Every morning we would wake up, eat breakfast and got ready for the pool. The pool opened at 10:00 am so we would play at the pool for a couple hours. Cannon would usually swim for a bit, get out and take a nap. Then I would be able to lay in the sun. Cirdan usually hung out with Jett in the kiddie pool and Kaylee, Kaiya and Ella would go back and forth from the big pool to the kiddie pool.
We would then go back and get ready for the rest of our day around 12:30. It was nice to not have a schedule and to just do things we wanted to do. The weather was perfect in the high 80's. It was lower temps than normal but for us it was absolutely wonderful.
On Sunday Cirdan took the laptop to the pool so he could watch the Seahawks game.
Last year was pictures down the slide. This year was pictures under the waterfall. The kids tried a few times to get some cool shots.
Bright Sun!
Playing with the ball
I could live somewhere with palm trees and be happy just looking at them each day. They make me smile.
On Sunday after the pool we drove to Mesa to check out the Santan area. I have heard a lot about this area (and looked at houses here) so I was excited to check it out. It exceeded my expectations. Talking to people from Arizona they always make it seem like its so far away. To me, it was close. I am not sure if it's because we are from Washington and everything is far or what. They have a newer outside shopping center with lots of fun stores. We ended up going back the next day to walk around the stores (more on that later). We stopped by the new Gilbert Temple. For some reason I thought it was open but I guess they are still working on it. It was beautiful. There were also a lot of new neighborhoods with lots of houses for sale. We drove past a few and remembered the neighborhoods we liked. It was a success!
