More Pool and Going Home

And here we go again….with more pool pictures. We have been home a week now and it is all like a dream now. A very, good, awesome, amazing dream that I wish would have lasted a while longer. I love the way the sun makes me feel. It is hard to be mean or angry when it is sunny and nice out. Even putting on flip flops makes me happy.  We are always so busy at home. Cirdan with work….Kaiya with dance and school…Ella with school and dance and gymnastics. Its nice to take a week and just hang out as a family. I also like taking someone with us (like Kaylee) to keep us on our best behavior. We got a long for the most part and created memories.
Things we did….
Saw a movie (Cirdan, Jett, Ella and Kaylee)
Shopped
Ate at Cafe Rio - 2 times - 2nd time there was a fly in my salad. I don't know if I will ever eat there again.
Ate at In-N-Out
Met some friends for frozen yogurt
Went to the Seahawks game
Searched for Seahawks gear in Arizona :)
Explored the hotel (didn't do that last year)
Took Kaiya to her Grandmas house and picked her up one night from her Aunts house. I haven't seen them for about 9 years so that was fun to see how much the kids have grown. Nancy and Darrel still look the same.
Drove around looking at houses and areas
Relaxed

This makes me laugh every time. Kaylee is the worlds best photo bomber. She is known for her photo bombs. She went down the slide, got out and photo bombed Kaiya without even realizing it! We were laughing so hard! You can tell she realizes when she is right in front of the camera. She cracks me up.

Cropped picture around his thumbs up and feet. ha ha

Every time we would drive past ASU on the freeway Kaiya wanted to take a picture.

We drove around the campus one day to give her a look around. She is totally determined to go there for college. I did hear that it is now the #2 party school instead of #1. That takes some of my concern away…..NOT!!!

So bright on our Washington eyes
We took Kaiya to say goodbye to her Grandma and Grandpa. Her grandma was talking about coming up to Washington to watch one of her dance competitions. I sure hope she does.  They have only seen one little video of one of her dances. I don't think they realize how good she really is. They have also never been up to Washington and would be fun for them to see where their son and granddaughter live.

The sunset was beautiful

Right after the car was loaded up with our luggage the kids had to touch the cactus one last time. Jett wanted to touch a cactus every chance he got (which was frequent)  :)    This was a not so fun experience for Jett. He ended up falling on round cactus on the bottom right hand corner and was bleeding.
We took some pictures at the hotel. There was a couple courtyards with fountains. We didn't even know they were there last year. Super pretty

Now we just need to start planning our next vacation!

GO HAWKS!!!

Lots of pool pictures but the pool was a big fun part of the trip.  We always started our day with a few hours at the pool.

We knew that we wanted to go to Arizona in October. When I started looking at flights I realized that Seahawks would be there playing the Cardinals about the same time we wanted to go. We made sure that we would be in Arizona that same week and then booked our flights. Cirdan started looking for tickets and found some on craigslist in row 3 (a bit cheaper than what would be the cost in Seahawk stadium). He contacted the guy and had our friend Eric go pick up the tickets for us. Everything worked out! We were really looking forward to this trip after the tickets were purchased. I was a little nervous because I know football fans can get kind of crazy and being a Seahawks fan in another stadium is sorta scary. I wasn't going to wear my jersey but ended up feeling like I needed to represent. It was a beautiful night and the stadium was nice. The roof was off and the sky was clear. I was surprised at how many Seahawks fans were there!! A TON more than what I expected. We stayed close to them and had no issues. There were a lot of people that were arguing/fighting which is totally crazy to me. It's a game people!!!  For the most part, the Cardinals fans were classy but we saw a handful of clowns.
It was a great game! We won. The seats were great. We were able to leave the kids with Kaylee and Kaiya and everything there went perfect. The night before we had a 'trial run' and went for a walk and to Target to make sure the girls could handle the kids. It was a good idea. The kids were okay until the last 30 or so minutes. Come to find out they had given them a bunch of fruit snacks and sugary stuff which caused them to go crazy. When we went to Target we bought some of their favorite things. We bought Ella workbooks and a DVD. Jett got a play doh toy with play doh and a puzzle. We left them for Kaylee to bring out after we left. Having the trial run we were able to put together a game plan and I was impressed with both Kaylee and Kaiya. Cirdan and I were able to enjoy ourselves and not worry (too much).

Interesting fact: The lady that took this picture of us was on the same flight home with us. Weird.

A good friend from Cirdan's childhood with another high school friend of Cirdan's (Shannon, who's next to Cirdan and Tom on the end).  Tom was down from Seattle and Shannon came up from New Mexico.
Leaving the stadium. Got called a SeaChicken but we just walked on by with our heads held high knowing we just beat those Cardinals.
