4th of July

We had a very low key 4th of July. With me being extremely pregnant and having a pinched nerve, which was the worst pain I have ever felt, I wasn't in a festive mood. I wanted to make cute little 4th of July desserts and some fun side dishes but that was not going to happen. We did venture out of the house to buy some fireworks and go to Fred Meyer to pick up some dinner. In the morning Ella and Jett played outside in the sprinkler. I take that back, Ella played in the sprinkler, Jett is too afraid of it. It was a very warm day...very unusual for a Seattle 4th of July. Kaiya was at her dad's house...
That evening the few people that stuck around in our neighborhood put on a nice firework show. I tried sitting outside for a bit but Jett wanted to be out with Cirdan and I couldn't wrestle with him so we ended up inside watching out the window for most of the night. Ella and Jett enjoyed the little sparklers that Cirdan bought for them. The big boy fireworks that Cirdan bought were a hit with the neighbors...they were big and beautiful! Next year we will have to make up for our boring 4th and do something really fun.
