I was right. That Friday night the doctor called and told us that his level was at a 16.5 and that a nurse would be bringing by the lights for him that night. I was sad that I would not be able to hold him but glad that they caught it so it wouldn't get worse.
Jett was able to come off the photo therapy lights on Tuesday. It was a long weekend. He had to lay on the lights all day and night unless he was out to get fed or to have his diaper changed. I also had to record every feeding, his temperature and diaper change. The nights were long. On Monday his level was down to 14.9 and the doctor said that he could get off the lights. The nurse that called about his level was confused as to why my doctor would say to take him off the lights (they usually like their levels to be at a 12) and she advised to keep him on them until the next day when someone would come pick up the equipment.
Here is a picture of him on his baby tanning bed (as Cirdan calls it).

I feel your pain! Ireland was on the lights for a week straight and even had to have EXTRA lights brought in. Her levels got to a 21 at their highest. SCARY! Glad you can snuggle him 24/7 now! :)
