August Fun

Aug 22nd and 23rd
My 2nd cousins, and my dad's cousins (their parents) came into town from Utah so we were able spent some time with them. I always love seeing them! It's been a long while. Thankful for social media we can know what is going on with each others life. Wish we could see each other more often!

I was sitting in a parking lot in Auburn and saw this coming around the corner. I love seeing our trucks around and about!

Cannon came in from playing outside in the water and fell asleep….with his fishing pole. He loves that fishing pole!
Aug 26th
Kaiya saw a movie with friends. We love summer!

Aug 27th
Cannon loves to sneak in Kaiya's room and get into her stuff. Kaiya loves to leave her stuff all around and the boys know that. They get into a lot a trouble in there.

Another Mariner's Game

Aug 25th
We went to another game! This time it was in the terrace club. My new favorite place to sit! Hardly anyone was there and you have a waiter/waitress person who goes around and will bring you whatever food you want. That's my type of fun! Ha ha.
Some of our friends were also at the game but sitting in a section on the upper right side. We were snap chatting the whole time which made the game entertaining.
At one point we were doing duck faces to send back and a foul ball came up and hit 2 seats behind us. There was no one sitting there. We could have totally got that ball! A little girl a few rows in front of us ran up and got it. I was so surprised at what was happening that I totally missed that one. We laughed at that for a while.
This is really what I do the whole time
Where are friend were sitting. We could see them.

To Cali We Go!

July 2nd we started on our trek to California. We left Kent around 6:30am The first day we made it to Redding, California in time to check in at the hotel and let the kids swim and have some fun. They did really good in the car!
Taryn, our nanny, came with us to help out with the kiddos. Extremely glad that she was able to come. The kids love her, and she got a fun trip too so it was a win win!

We stayed at the same hotel as our friends the Murrys. They had a late start the first day so we saw them at breakfast the next morning.
The kids
In the car once again.
It started getting really hot. Just the way I like it!
The kids did well. Just started breaking down the last couple hours. They were ready to be out of the car.
Finally made it to the Hilton in Calabasas, California.
We just relaxed the first night.
The next morning was 4th of July. I tried to buy tickets to the local fireworks show online but it said you had to buy them in person. By the time we arrived it was all sold out. Bummer. We weren't sure what we were going to do but our friends from dance were also in Calabasas so we were hoping to get together with them.
We started the morning with a swim

After getting ready for the day we drove over to the little outside mall next to the hotel. We ate some pizza and walked around to explore. It was a really hot day out and Kaiya hated the heat. I told her she better get used to it if she was going to live in Arizona for college!
There was a little pond area in the middle of some stores with turtles. The kids had a blast watching them! It made me want to get one as a pet. Turtles are so cute!
Fun fact - the Kardashians live in Calabasas. On one of there recent shows it showed this little mall and the turtles. Brought back memories of being there. :)
**WARNING - Kids and turtle pictures overload!! Too cute to not post
So many turtles!
We left and met up with our friends at a restaurant near their hotel. Kaiya was excited to see all of her buddies. Kaiya went back to their hotel after to swim and we went back to ours to let the kids run around.
We had no 4th of July plans but it was ok! We were in sunny California and we had a busy, exciting week coming up.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!
