Party Animals

A couple days before the big Birthday day we had a family birthday party. Everyone including Gram and Brad were here except my mom. We had fun and it was a great way to start the birthday week!
Casey and Ella greeting each other with a hug.

Ella helped Casey take off his shoes...such a little mother already.

"Happy Birthday To You...."

The birthday kids.

Yummy cake....lots of candles!

What Nathan does best! Birthday Spanks!!

Before...

After... (Kaiya isn't a fan of chocolate cake so she got her own cupcake)

We started the birthday morning with presents in bed for daddy! Ella and Kaiya painted him mugs. The one in the picture is from Ella.
Kaiya also opened a present before school. After school she opened her other ones.

I took Kaiya to school and we dropped off Ella at my moms house and headed to breakfast to celebrate Cirdan's birthday. His favorite breakfast spot is Wild Wheat Bakery Cafe in Kent. Then we went to pick up Ella and grab Kaiya lunch to take to her school. She chose to have Arby's this year. I thought we were just dropping off food and cupcakes but her teacher asked if we wanted to stay...so we did! Ella helped hand out the napkins while Kaiya and her friend Alina gave the kids cupcakes.

Kaiya had 2 dance classes but we let her skip one so that we could go out to Red Robin. Hailey and Brett also came to celebrate (her birthday was the week before). Dad also was able to come have some RR birthday dinner. We did have an issue but I won't go there...it might make you lose your appetite! Red Robin took care of it...and only because Cirdan talked to the manager for about 5 minutes. We ended up getting the birthday people (4) dinners for free.

We had a fun day full of celebrating Cirdan, Kaiya and my Dad's birthday!! Happy Birthday!!

Workin'

Kaiya went to work with Cirdan for Take Your Child to Work day. She had lots of fun. When I asked her what she did she said...
Every time Cirdan was on the phone or talking about something I would write it down in my journal and read it again and write the persons name
I made my office
I interviewed Cirdan
Took pictures
Ate lunch

I could tell Kaiya wasn't in school. I kept getting phone calls all day from her. It was funny at first until it started getting annoying ha ha. I am glad that Kaiya had fun and that she likes to go to Cirdan's work so much. I think it is important for kids to see their parents work so hard. I know I saw my dad work his butt off and it really made a huge impression on my life.

Easter Weekend in Spokane - Friday

Easter weekend we took the drive over to Spokane to see Cirdan's family. It is about a 4 1/2 to 5 hour drive. The girls did really well. Ella and Kaiya had their DVD player and Nintendo DS's. Jett cried one time. It was a very nice drive.

We came into town on Thursday night, visited for a while then went to bed. On Friday we had some fun. We walked over to Manito Park to let the kids play on the toys and then play with the ducks. Kaiya had fun playing Native American. She likes to pretend she is an Indian. When we got home Kim and the girls came over and we decorated Easter eggs. Ella enjoyed picking the colors for her eggs. She also thought it was a good idea to stick her fingers in the coloring for each egg.

By the way - I am doing seperate blog posts on each day since I have about a billion pictures and it is taking forever to download. :)

Ella enjoying some time with Grandpa....she looks forward to and talks for weeks when we plan a trip to Spokane.

I was halfway to Karate Kid pose.....

Grandmas was making sleeping bags for the dolls with Hannah and Kaiya. She is constantly doing something for the grand kids

Having fun with Easter eggs!

We had plenty of colors and shades of colors.....stickers, crayons and all sorts of fun stuff for the girls to do their eggs.

Heidi was getting all huffy at me trying to take a good picture and I was making a bunch of faces...

Jett was being teased with one of Grandma's famous chocolate chip cookies.
