Baby's First Steps

Ella is walking! Last weekend all the sudden she let go of the coffee table and took off. Here is a video of her walking last Sunday...Kaiya was at her dad's Saturday so the first video is Kaiya watching her for the first time.

Here are some videos that I took of her today. She loves to walk and hardly crawls anymore. It's so funny watching my little baby walk.

Finally! The day I have been waiting for...

I have been waiting patiently for Ella's hair to grow out enough to put some clips in or put it in a ponytail. The day has finally come!

Do you think people would look at me cross eyed if I had her wear her cute little ponytail in public? ha ha ha

10 1/2 months old

Ella has started to love playing patty cake. She will just stop in the middle of what she is doing to clap and throw her arms in the air. I was playing with her yesterday and got some of it on video. Sorry about my annoying voice...

Ella has started copying me when I yell for Kaiya. It usually sounds more like Yiya but the video is still cute with her jibber jabber. My baby is growing up so fast!

Valentines Day 2009

Our morning was pretty busy. I woke up at 6:45 to go running...okay...jogging with my friend and Cirdan was on the phone all morning with work and things. I decided to use that time to clean the house and play with Ella (Kaiya was at Meema's and her dads). The plan was to make a nice steak dinner and just relax but at the last minute we decided to scrap the steak dinner and go out to Chinese food. We still wanted to relax at home so we went to Fred Meyer to buy a DVD and some dessert and then stopped by Starbucks for a little pick-me-up.
We got home, scooped up some ice cream and watched Horton Hears a Who (GREAT adult movie..ha ha).
I gave Cirdan a gift certificate to go get a massage with some goodies and he gave me a bear with Frango Chocolates, a really pretty necklace and a gift card to Macy's.
Cirdan reading the big card I gave him...

Not 1...Not 2...But 3 teeth gone!!

Last night Cirdan and I went out to dinner with our friends. My mom had over Kaiya to spend the night at her house, so that they could wake up on Valentine's Day and make cupcakes. I got a call from Kaiya late on Friday night saying that she had lost a tooth. Aunt Stacey is a dental assistant so she pulled it out for Kaiya.
On Saturday morning Kaiya called saying that the tooth fairy left 5 dollars! I told her to save it and put it in her Disneyland fund. I guess that idea motivated her. About an hour later I got another call from her saying that she convinced Stacey to pull another tooth! It had been loose but with a bit of baby orajel the tooth came right out with no pain. I told Kaiya that she needed to have Stacey pull her other front tooth since that one was hit when she was 3 and turned gray from the impact. A while later Stacey sent me picture kaiya.... now both her top teeth were missing! Crazy girls...

2nd Cousins and friends

I took these pictures over at my cousin Steph's house on January 3rd. It was pretty impossible to get these 2 girls to take a good picture together. After about 35 pictures this is the best I could do...
Ella and Gracie were born exactly 1 week apart. I cant believe they are both almost 1!
This was about to be a fight...

We love the Gunters!!

A week before we went to California, Sonnet called to say that they would be in town and could meet us for breakfast! We haven't seen them since May when we were in Utah. We decided to meet at good ol' McDonalds. It was great to see Sonnet, Cameron, Averie and Dallin again. Kaiya adores Averie and they play so well together. It was also fun to see Sonnet's pregnant belly...I wish we lived closer.

The Beach & Goin Home - Day 7 & 8

As the week started it had looked like Friday was going to be the hottest day (in the 80's)...so Friday was the day! We all piled into the mini van and drove to the Santa Monica beach. It took a while because of traffic (again). When we finally found it (thanks to Cirdan's dad) it was worth the wait.

Saturday we packed up, went down to breakfast and walked around a strip mall before going to the airport.

Disneyland & California Adventure - Day 6

This was are final day at Disneyland and California Adventure. The weather warmed up and it was around 80 degrees. A GREAT day to be in the happiest place on earth!! We used our hour early pass and got to Disneyland at 9:00. We directly went to the rides with the long lines that would have taken 45 min plus later in the day. My mom, dad, Kaiya and I went on Peter Pan's Flight. It is a classic that always had a huge line. It was an alright ride...you soar through different scenes of London and Neverland.

Then my parents and Cirdan went on the Matterhorn . Kaiya and I were bored while we waited and took some pictures.

Ella and I waited while my parents, Cirdan and Kaiya went on the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage. I opted out since I am claustrophobic. I guess it was a really cool ride and we probably should have taken Ella on it since she loves fish.
We then decided to go over to California Adventure...got a quick bite to eat...
and went to Disney's Aladdin - A Musical Spectacular.
The acting was great, they came out in the audience a bunch of times.... We sat in the 2nd row and it was fantastic!!

We really wanted to make reservations and eat dinner at Ariel's Grotto so after Aladdin we headed over and made some reservations. We had a few hours before dinner so Kaiya and I went over to one of the shops to buy her a princess dress. It was kind of spendy but she had to dress up for the dinner!
We then headed back over to the California Screamin roller coaster so Cirdan could ride a couple more times with my mom. My parents also went to the Toy Story Midway Mania ride.
It was time to head to dinner. After we got the okay from the front desk we walked down the staircase where Kaiya got a picture (and autograph) with Ariel.

We had a 3 course meal. Kaiya ate steak, Cirdan had the chicken and I also had steak. They first brought out antipasto and bread....not to mention a great pesto...... Then came the main course. While we were eating they would introduce a princess who would come out and go from table to table to talk to the kids and take pictures.

Kaiya had so much fun. She said that she felt really happy and excited, and a very lucky girl. She said she is also thankful that Cirdan and I took her to the dinner. The 3rd course they brought out a delicious array of dessert! It was soooooo good.

Cirdan and my mom went back on the California Screamin roller one last time.... and we took more pics (on the pier by the roller coaster)... the sunset was beautiful.

California Adventure was closing so we walked over to Disneyland. We walked through the shops, took even more pictures and enjoyed the atmosphere. I loved just sitting there watching people and looking at all the magical things.
We were sad to leave but will be saving our money for a trip back soon!!! Anyone want to come with?? :)

More pictures from our day...
