Disneyland Day 1

We bought a 2 day pass for Disneyland/California Adventure. Cirdan and I didn't really want to go during the summer when it is super crowded and hot but at the last minute we decided since we were there....we might as well! Plus, it was Cannon's birthday that 2nd day and we thought that would be a fun way to celebrate his 4th birthday.

Toy Story ride - we like to go on this first thing in the morning when there isn't a huge line. By the end of the night the wait is too long.

This was the first time not having a nanny with us - and it actually went really well! Cannon was so well behaved while waiting in the lines.

Kaiya is smiling in this picture because while we were standing there waiting for Cirdan one of the workers at the Lightening McQueen pictures ran up to her and told her to SMILE!! He said she had to smile - she was at Disneyland! Then he backed up slowly. Keeping his eyes on her and would look at her every minute or so to make sure was smiling. We were laughing about it. It was exactly what she needed!!

We watched the new Frozen show. Even though Kaiya was VERY mad they took out Aladdin and replaced it with Frozen. She was not happy. It was a good show though. Something you have to do at least one time...not sure I would watch again though.

We would usually go back for an hour or 2 and then come back after the crowd had died down a bit.

Fun full day = tired almost 4 year old!

Jett's 1st day of Kindergarten

They did something different this year for kids going into Kindergarten. The first few days of school the kids and parents met with teachers one on one. The teachers were able to ask questions and meet the kids before school started. Jett had his meeting and then we went out on a 'date' to Arby's (his choice).

The next day was Jett's official first day of school.  I seriously can't believe he is old enough for Kindergarten! He was really excited to go to Ella's school.

His friend Paxton parks at our house and walks to school with the kids.

Unfortunately they aren't in the same class but they still see each other at recess.

And off they go! So exciting!

He was a little nervous. Jett is our little anxiety kid. He is always worried or nervous about something.

They are going to watch out for him. He's lucky to have older kids to keep their eyes open for him!

Jonas/Lovato Concert

This dad gets Dad of the Year award. The girls wanted to go to the Nick Jonas - Demi Lovato concert really bad. I mentioned it to Cirdan (as did they) a few times and he actually went online and bought them tickets to go. The girls were super excited! Kaiya is in LOVE with Nick. She listens to his songs non stop.

When Nick came out on stage Kaiya started crying. Tears running down her face. Those are the moments that make everything worth it. All the money and time that is spent to see them appreciate it is the best feeling. She even tells me now (a couple weeks later) that every time she thinks about the concert she gets really happy and it puts a huge smile on her face.
