Ella was in dance class and fell backwards. Her wrist got jammed and she was in a lot of pain. She put some ice on it and we figured it was sprained. A day later it was still bugging her a lot so Cirdan took her into Urgent Care. They took X-rays and said that is was broken. She was not happy about it. She came home crying because it itched under the makeshift cast.
They gave us a referral to an orthopedic to make an appt. with.

A couple days later we were back at Urgent Care. Come to find out Ella is allergic to something in the wrap that they put around it. It got super red and swollen. It was hurting her really bad.

And this is when the story gets better (sarcastic). At urgent care they set up the instructions for the orthopedist of our choice to put a cast on her the following week. The doctor showed Cirdan on the X-Ray where it was broken. This doctor has been in practice and looking at X Rays for 30 years. When Cirdan went to the doctor the following week, he looked at the X ray and explained that what the doctor was looking at was simply her growth plate. It was never broken! The Urgent Care doctor thought the growth plate was a break in the bone. GRRRR!! So after all the $ we paid, allergic reaction and time wasted it.wasnt.even.broke!!!!
Even though we were super frustrated we were also grateful. She had her first ever dance competition at the end of the month and did not want a cast on her arm!
