My Baby Girl is 12. WOW!

Kaiya has been asking for a surprise party for as long as I can remember. I never threw her one but always had planned that for her 12th birthday she could get one.
I had to come up with a plan. She was supposed to be with her dad the weekend of her birthday so I came up with a genius idea. While she was gone I could get everything ready at the house.  That Saturday (her actual birthday) her dad told her that they were going to one of his good friends wedding reception. She was so mad! All of her friends at dance totally played along and was asking her what she would be doing. Trying to poke her a little more and making her even more mad about not begin about to celebrate her birthday with her friends. Every time she asked me why I couldn't just change weekends with her dad so she could have a party I would say that her dad wouldn't go along with that and that she could celebrate the weekend after. I had her plan a party like she was throwing one and I was using all her ideas for her real party. I also had her friend Ana giving info on who to invite and details.
She wanted a black and white party. So that is what she got! Her dad bought her a new outfit for the so called 'reception'….it was black and white. He made sure she was looking cute in her outfit and while all her friends were arriving at the house he was driving her around. There was a few stragglers so I had to call him a couple times to tell him to take his time (stopping at Taco Time etc). Oh, forgot to mention…she thought she was stopping by my house so that she could get her birthday present from Cirdan and I and so that we could all say Happy Birthday to her. I had decorated the house and told her on the phone before she arrived that the house was decorated because the little kids wanted to surprise her with the house decorated. She believed every word.
We all gathered into the playroom and waited. That many kids in one little area and having them be super quiet was quite comical. I don't ever think I have heard them that quiet.
Kaiya came into the house and Cirdan greeted her and her dad. Cirdan told her that the present was upstairs in the playroom. When she opened the door her closest friends were there yelling Happy Birthday!
They also had confetti blowers and air horns
She was so surprised and was shaking a lot! She had no idea what was going on.
We had pizza and snacks
We bought the game Guesstures and the kids had a blast playing it.
My mom decorated an amazing cake!! It looked awesome!
Perfect
Took her a few times to finally blow out the candles
Ha ha I think only 1 or 2 blew out after the first try

Cirdan didn't want any attention on him but everyone also sang happy birthday to him.
The whole gang!
The birthday kids!
Cirdan was very nice and spent his birthday with a bunch of tweens
The flowers on the cake
Signs that the kids made with Taryn
When there is boys in the house that means wresting will be happening at some point
Kaiya was pretty animated with her acting out clues. It was really pretty humorous and I wish I would have video recorded her first one.
Kaiya's friend Jalen got her the best shirt ever. On the back it said #akwardlikekaiya  . Her and her friends like to post pictures on instagram with that hashtag.
They are really good friends.
One of her favorite dance teachers even showed up for a bit
To give her a hard time….
Not sure what was so funny
There was some girls who spent the night. Around 8:00 Cirdan was ready to get away from all the kids and he met Bladi at a restaurant. I was glad that he could at least get out to do something nice that night for his birthday.
It was a very fun night and I was glad everything turned out perfect!
I can't believe Kaiya is 12. It feels like just yesterday I was in Arizona getting induced, and ready to meet my sweet little baby. She was the best baby and kid. She never ever cried. Kaiya has grown up to be a busy, crazy, fun, hard working kid. She LOVES to dance and hang out with her friends. She is pretty independent. I still try to baby her, which she doesn't really like. I am so glad that she is mine! I love hanging out with her and going to her dance functions. Watching her dance and seeing her eyes light up make it all worth the $$$!

Sunny Days in April

This is what happens when we go somewhere. They always try to bring everything with them. Pillows,    their minions, Micky Mouse, a water pail….you name it.
In April we were blessed with some really good weather. It was so nice that they boys were able to play in the sprinkler some days. They loved it!
Where is Jett?
I see you Cannon!
Boo!
You can't see me!
