Jett Plays Soccer

Jett at soccer practice
Jett's first game didn't go well. It was cold and rainy and he just wanted Cirdan to hold him the whole time. As soon as he started yelling..."I want a diaper!" Cirdan left. Definitely did not go as well as we had hoped.
The 2nd game however went much better! I had to be at a dance competition with Kaiya so Cirdan took Ella and Cannon and Taryn (our nanny) along. My parents and grandma also went to watch. It was a beautiful sunny day and Jett was ready to score some goals! He ended up scoring 2 goals. I was sad I missed it! He was so excited and proud of himself.
This picture made me laugh....this is what happens when the sun shines in Washington. Everyone's eyes hurt and it's hard to open them.
I took Jett to his next practice and it started raining as soon as we got there. Then it started to dump on us!! I didn't have an umbrella so we only lasted about 5 minutes and then ran home. We were soaked! This is one huge reason why we want to move to Arizona. The kids play sports in rain - all year long.
Thinking I am a much better dance mom than soccer mom when it rains.

The game that week was also rainy. Even with the rain it didn't stop Jett from scoring some goals. He was cold and wet but loves soccer!
Getting out of the rain for a minute
I am really glad that Jett likes playing soccer! He was such a shy guy so it's been fun to watch him come out of his shell. Soccer has defiantly helped. Cannon and him are constantly playing with the balls around the house. They love sports!

Chuck E Cheese

Over the years I have posted a bunch of pictures from Chuck E Cheese. These kids never get sick of it! We like to go first thing in the morning when there is no one there. I swear they ask to go almost every single day.
They love them some Chuck E Cheese.

Dancing at A Cheer Competition

This has been a year of a lot of 'firsts'. Jennifer took a few groups to Vancouver a month ago to dance in a cheer/dance competition. I decided to be a chaperone and also drive down with some of the girls. We had to wake up super early (had to be at the Carrington's by 5am) and we didn't get home until about 9 night that. It was worth it though....we had a lot of fun and it was nice to experience something different! ADA was the only dance team. The kids enjoyed it and I always like Kaiya to be exposed to different types of dance. It made me kind of want her to be a cheerleader too! They actually are talking about having some of the kids do cheer and dance next year. We will see what happens!
Kaiya does NOT like when I am in a picture with her friends. Her face says it all.....they may think I am cool but she sure doesn't!

Cousins are Fun

I am glad that my cousins and I are still close. We are all grown now...married with kids but we still try to find time to get together. And now our kids are friends!
My cousin Allison brought over Penelope to play. We are hoping to get together every couple weeks for a playmate!

Kindergarten Projects - Oso

I helped out in Ella's class a few weeks back and these were some fun projects we did. There was a terrible mudslide in Washington with more than 40 people that died. These signs were going to the fire station there. It felt good to have the kids involved. The kids were also excited about the project and loved the way they turned out. I love how their teacher gets them involved with things like this. The school also collected food items that was taken to the rescue teams.
White handprint stars was going to be added after the blue dried

Potty Trained!

Someone is finally potty trained! He used to beg for me to put a diaper on him but now he likes his undies and never asks for a diaper. I had a card that was actually a chore card. Every day he got to mark off when he wore his underwear and didn't have any accidents. After the 10th day we went walmart and he picked out anything he wanted.
This is what he chose....

Thinking to try to potty train Cannon in the near future. Boys are hard to train! My girls were easy!

Kaiya's Very Messy Bedroom

I had been telling Kaiya she needed to clean her room before she went to school that Wednesday. While she was running out the door that morning I asked if she cleaned it. She told me, "yes!". A little while later I walked upstairs and past her room. This is what I saw.
I could immediately feel my blood boil. I think I even screamed out loud. I didn't know if I should go pick up her butt from school and bring her home or what I should do. I decided to pick everything up off her floor (the cleaner was coming) and shove it in her closet. When she got home from school she had to clean it all up before going to dance. Being late to dance or miss a class is the ultimate punishment for her.
She is such a hard worker when it comes to dance but when it is anything else in life I am trying to teach her that it also should be important to her.
TWEENS!!!!
I went into my room and she had taken a couple things from her room and stuffed it in my room!! I was so mad!
Even though she lied to me and her room was a disaster she sometimes is very sweet and kind. The next day Ella's friend was coming over after school. I always watch out the window for them and this is  what I saw.....
It was raining buckets and Kaiya gave up her umbrella for them and even was carrying their plant that they were bringing home from school. What a nice sister! These are the moments that make me happy.

Some Random Things

Whatever he can use to get higher to get into some trouble - he will do.
Got his sleeve stuck. Don't know why it was so funny to me....but it was.
Cirdan brought home some cute stuff for the kids from the Superbowl
Love these girls
Crazy hair day at school
Or maybe just another normal day at school?

Goofs

Life would sure be boring without these two. They love to make people laugh.
