The Xtreme team formal ball is one of the kids favorite parties. They all dress up in their pretty dresses and get to have fun at dance with their friends. This year my friend Mirabella was asked to plan the party. She was 8 months pregnant and the time and I felt bad for her so I offered up my help. She put me in charge of the italian soda bar. I had Cirdan and Tony (Ana's dad) man the bar. They had a lot of fun and really got into it! They only had a couple short breaks…the kids made them busy!

They also do a white elephant gift exchange which the kids get into. Some of them love stealing stuff. Others (like Kaiya) are too shy to steal.

The Polar Express - Auburn Dance Academy Production

The girls dance production in December was one of my favorites! Auburn Dance hired someone who does theater to help...which pushed it over the edge to I think the best yet! Kaiya did awesome and so did Ella! We had friends and family that came to support them. Kaylee and Rusty were there even! It was a wonderful night! Ella was in 3 dances this time (jazz, hip hop and tap) and Kaiya was in a million as usual.

Christmas Gifts for my Parents

These two Christmas gifts arrived for my mom and dad. Can you guess what they could be?

If you guessed Kaylee and Rusty you are correct!!! They drove through a couple of snow storms but it was all worth it to see my parents surprised faces when they opened up their gifts! I was happy they were here for Christmas. Having them around made Christmas that much better!
Kaylee is in the tall one and Rusty was laying down in the sideways one. I have a video of them being surprised. I will post later.

The Sickness - Again!

Before I forget I need to blog that Ella got sick AGAIN!!! Last Sunday night Cirdan and I went to Kaiya's Mock Competition. The babysitter text and said that Ella said her head hurt. When we came home I knew she had a fever. I took her temperature in the morning and it was 102.7. Her throat started hurting and on Tuesday Cirdan took her to the doctor. The strep test came back negative but the doctor said that it is only 65% accurate and they still wanted to treat as if it was strep. So she got on antibiotics. There was a couple nights where she said she couldn't hardly breath and one time when she ate (she barely ate at all that week) she chocked because her throat.
Ella ended up missing Tuesday - Thursday at school (Monday was a teacher workshop day). She was really sad to not be there! Her awesome teacher text me a few times that week asking about how she was feeling and telling me to let Ella know she missed her along with a bunch of her friends in her school class. It was so nice of her!
Thankfully she is feeling better now but that was another rough week at the Imbler house. Cannon also has had a cold thing going on. Lots of snot and lots of fussiness.

Let's hope THIS is the last time people are sick in this house!!!! I am so done with it.

****UPDATE - Cannon got a fever the next week for about 3 days. Then Jett got one last Thursday night and still has a low fever today (Monday). I took him to the doc this morning and he has a double ear infection. His fever got up to 105! It was also 104 a couple times. Very, very scary and stressful but it seems like he is finally doing better.
Cannon has had another fever since yesterday. Both him and Jett now have runny noses and sinus issues going on. :( :(

SNOW!

It snowed a bit so we let the boys go outside to play. The girls still had school - it was pajama day - so we made them some hot cocoa and walked them to school.
