More Ava Stuff

Ava wanted to stay longer than her week visit. She talked about it every day. One day, she called her mom and her mom said it was ok! SHOCKER! They changed her flight so she was here an extra week. This is her longest visit yet (2 weeks). Everything went great! She will be here in August again and the girls are already counting down the days.

Having a Blast With Ava

When Ava is here there is a lot of dancing, playing, parks, laughing, pictures, fighting, fun and did I mention dancing? Here are some pictures we took one day when she was here. We like to take a lot of pictures so we can buy a photo album and print pictures for her to take home.

Last Day of School

Last day of 5th grade. My baby is growing up so fast! Thankfully next year 6th grade is still at the Elementary School and not at Middle School...so she will be with Ella. This year flew by. Kaiya absolutely loved her teacher. Last year when we walked to the school a few days before the 1st day of school to find out who her teacher was and who was in her class she cried all the way home. She had heard that her soon to be teacher was mean. She was really upset. It makes her and I laugh when we think back to how upset she was after one of the best years she has had. She came home almost every day with a funny story about her teacher. She had a fantastic 5th grade year and hopefully next year will be just as good!

Kaiya's Talent Show

Kaiya wanted to perform her Duo at her school talent show.  Jalen got out of school and came to show Kaiya's school what they have been working on/competing.. Jalen is part of the BX5 crew that was on a  Disney channel dance contest this past fall (they made top 5) so there were a lot of kids at the school who already knew who he was.

The kids absolutely LOVED their dance. Kaiya had many kids come up to her the following few days telling her how awesome she did. It's funny because I took her and Ella to a school BBQ a few months ago. They had a DJ and all the kids were dancing and having fun. Kaiya's friends wanted her to come out on the floor and dance and she refused. She was too shy. I was like....really Kaiya???! I had to tell her I would buy her cotton candy and popcorn for her to even go out there and do a couple dance moves. I was laughing/very annoyed. She is shy until she gets on that stage!

School is Out!

Kaiya's last day of school was a half day. We decided as soon as Kaiya came home to go get some lunch wherever she choose (Wendy's). Then play at the little itsy bitsy park in our neighborhood. So happy that school is out and that we have a couple months to have some fun!

Ava's 8th Birthday

 Ava was here for her 8th birthday. It was a busy but fun day! We started the day with a trip to Chuck E Cheese. We got there early enough that no one was there and there was tickets in the machines from when you restart the games. This is a trick we have learned...get there early for free tickets!
Kaiya was mad that I made her go to school. She only had 1 1/2 days left. Amy met us there with Emma and Carter.

After playing we went to Target and Ava got to pick out some things that she wanted for her birthday. She got a couple of outfits.

We went to Ella's gymnastics show and then rushed home to celebrate Ava's birthday with my family and Emily. 

I can't believe it's been 8 years already! I remember the day after she was born and Cirdan found out that her mom had given birth. He rushed to the hospital with my camera and brought back a bunch of pictures of a sweet baby girl. Lots has happened these past 8 years and we are so lucky to now have her in our lives.
