The Grinch - Dance Recital

The girls had their Christmas dance recital. They did really well! I am so proud to watch my little dancers. Kaiya was really busy (as usual) and was in many dances. Ella had hip hop and ballet. I will have to do another post with pictures from their show.

We were brave and took both boys with us. Our nanny/helper came with us to help. Cannon wasn't being good in the beginning so she took him out. Then Jett acted up at the very end (and she took him out). Overall though both boys did really well! It is a long show!

Stuff

Ella and I went to Walgreens before Christmas and they were taking pictures with Mrs. Claus and an elf for the kids. They were giving away free 5x7 pictures but the machine was down and they wanted me to come back to get it. I never did so I am glad I snapped this pic! Ella was excited to go home and tell daddy all about it.

Kaiya brought this self portrait home from school. Looks kind of like her? Ha ha she makes me laugh.

Went to Walmart - forgot the magic eraser....the only reason I went.

Went to Costco - forgot the formula...the only reason I went.

Went to Fred Meyer - forgot the milk....the only reason I went. 

But I bought a lot of other things!!! Grrrrr

Big Boy Status

I am naming this week...Operation take the binkie away from Jett week.

Wish me luck. 

I'm going to need lots of headache medicine, caffeine and chocolate.

Preschool Christmas Party

On Ella's last day of school before Christmas break they had a party. The kids made the Christmas tree cones (like we had a couple weeks earlier), played bingo and ate some yummy food. I loved their hates they made. They always do fun craft projects.

I was at Ella's party for Halloween and they also played Bingo. Both times she was the first to get a Bingo! That's my girl!! (one of my favorite games)

She missed her class and by the time school was back in session she was ready to go back! It was nice to have her home though for those couple weeks.

Stuff

Thanks to Pinterest (again) I found these cute gifts to give to teachers. I made some for Kaiya and Ella's school teacher and also the girls teachers at dance. Each cup had candy in it and a Starbucks gift card attached.

Why is he getting big so fast?? Makes me sad how fast he is growing up.

We woke up to a little snow! Just the perfect amount. It coated the ground but it wasn't too bad to drive in. I am hoping this winter we get no more snow. Can't stand it.

Ella loves to do her homework each week. She always bugs me until I have time to sit down and help her. I hope it stays like this and she continues to love it. :)

Look at that boys hair!! This was the day I took him to get another hair cut. It grows so fast! He is so shy and hates sitting in the chair so either Cirdan or I (whoever is with him) has to sit with him on our lap.

Christmas Tree Cones

Thank you Pinterest for some really cute craft ideas. I found this one and thought this would be the perfect/easy craft for the kids! Ella had Maddie, our neighbor friend over. The kids had fun and could do most of it on their own! Ice cream cone Christmas trees....super cute!

Cannon's 1st Solid Food

Cannon ate his first solid foods a couple weeks ago. We have been feeding him rice but haven't tried anything else. This week will will try some sweet potatoes. Cannon was not a fan of the rice cereal and still isn't. It almost looks painful when I feed it to him. I feel bad but he is such a hungry big kid that I think he would enjoy some solid foods. Okay, I take that back. Sometimes he likes it but most of the times he doesn't. Hoping the sweet potatoes are a success!!

Jett wanted to try some. He hated it!! He still wants a bite each time I give some to Cannon...each time running away not happy with his decision.

Sweets

My Jetty boy LOVES sweets. He is pretty addicted. I often find him with his face looking like this. I don't know where he find the stuff...but he does! He especially loves mints...even if it is toothpaste. Today he was smelling the mouthwash (I had to stop him before he drank it).
