Another Birthday...

My birthday was super busy, packed with fun things all day long! In the morning I was treated to a present first thing. It was something that I had wanted but didn't think I would get! Cirdan bought me a new camera. So fun!!!
My mom came over and we headed down to Kent Station to celebrate with some of my friends from my ward. My neighbor who is also in my ward has the same exact birthday so we made it a double birthday party.
My friend Sandy made me a cake like she usually does and brought me some Starbucks. My tummy was still feeling icky but the cake still tasted great!!
Cirdan took me out to Red Robin that night. He wanted something fancier but it was my birthday and I just wanted salad and fries.
Playing around with my new camera taking pictures...
When we got home the kids were excited for cake. I took this picture because it must have been a stripe day. I dressed all the kids in stripes (excluding Kaiya...but she did it as well!)
This first picture makes me laugh. Something happened that was super funny.
The big 29!!!! :)
Mom, Dad and Nate came over for cake. Amy and the kids were in Utah.
One of these days my mom will learn to smile...because I post pics of her...smiling or not...
Nate has been doing the insanity workout and has lost a bunch of weight! He looks great!
My new camera!
Since Amy was gone Nate made me a card. It was one of the best gifts I have ever received from him. I love all the colors on the front of the card. Inside he taped the $20 I had given him the week or so before for his birthday. He one upped me and actually found 33 cents (I turned 33), all with the year 1979 on them! So creative!!!!!!!
The card said...
If you had a penny for every year you've been alive. You'd not be making a lot of cents!
Almost brought a tear to my eye. Ha ha
Oh here is a picture of my lunch.
When I got home Ella taped this to the door for me. She is a sweet girl!

O Christmas Tree....

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree. How lovely are your branches?
We went for a fake tree this year. It was amazing. I sure missed the smell of a real tree but didn't miss anything else that goes with it.
The kids were excited and eager to help. It looked wonderful! We are in the process of taking down the tree today (it's January 1st) and I am sad looking at these pictures. It always goes so fast!

Thanksgiving - Good and Bad :)

We celebrated Thanksgiving again this year at my parents house. Just like all the years past we had a ton to eat and had a fun time! This year was a little different. I ate and ate and then came home and about an hour later was in the bathroom throwing up everything!. It was bad. My main concern was that it was food poisoning and was hoping that not everyone would be getting sick along with me. Thank goodness it was just me. Must have been some horrible stomach bug. It took a good week to get a small appetite back.
In fact, it has taken this long just to want to do a blog about Thanksgiving. I was not looking forward to looking at the pictures and reliving that night. I did however, lose 6 pounds within that 48 hours and have kept it off...even with Christmas here and gone! Woo hoo! Weird, I know.
Kaiya was with her dad on Thanksgiving so I took one picture of her before she left...
Now to pictures with food in it (blah)
I made bacon rolled chestnuts and some of these little sweet potato bite appetizers. Sorta cute.
Over at my parents everyone was getting all the food prepared.
Well some were. Some were also sitting at the table waiting....patiently....
Emma eating appetizers
Had to put this picture in. This is the only picture I got of Gram. Also my parent has the Maloy's over from the ward but didn't get any pictures of them.
After dinner we also relax, visit, play games and look at the ads.
The kids were having fun rolling each other around in the tub
Stacey has been trying to get Jett to like her. He gave her a couple kisses.
Weirdo....:)
Wrestling with Papa!
My First Thanksgiving!
Okay, so these pictures are not in order but I am too lazy to fix them. Back to dinner....
My plate of food. Kinda plain but just the way I like it...
Dad texting Kaylee at the table.
We are eating too much!!
We also skyped with Rusty and Kaylee. Rusty's family has a dog that looks like cheeto so they were doing some online dating.
It's always fun to skype with them to see Rusty's silly faces.
We had a TON of pies. I made a banana cream one which turned out delish!
