Halloween

Halloween was a blast! Ella had her preschool party that morning. They played some games, decorated cookies and ate some food. I took the 2 boys which was a mistake because I was preoccupied with them but I was glad I was able to be there with her.
She won the bingo game!
Nice one Ella....:)

That night I got a jack-o-latern pizza for the family. It didn't really look like one after it baked...ha ha.
Kaiya went with her dad and Cirdan and I took the kids to Nate and Amy's neighborhood to walk around with them (Nate stayed home to hand out candy). We also stopped at our friends The Youngs and the Harris' house. Then went to my parents.
I wasn't sure how Jett would do but he loved it! He was such a trooper and walked to each house. It wasn't raining or too cold so the kids stayed dry and weren't uncomfortable. Towards the middle of the night Jett realized he had a bucket full of candy and all he wanted to do was eat the sweets.
Cookie Monster - Elmo - Queen of Hearts - Alice in Wonderland
Not too happy
Ella wanted so badly to take a picture with Cannon but he was not having it.

Jetty at 2

Jett at 2
Loves noodles, rice, fries, fruit snacks and candy.
Loves Elmo and Mickey Mouse (he calls Mickey - Hot Dog)
Likes to sing songs
Gets into things...his favorite is his sisters make up and nail polish
Won't go to nursery by himself. Cirdan or I have to stay the whole time.
Is super shy but is starting to come out of his shell
Loves trucks and planes
Loves trucks but is also afraid of them - ha ha
Is barely fitting into size 2t and 24 months
Loves his baby brother and is always giving him kisses
Has to play with someones hair while falling asleep
Still wants his binky 24/7. Super annoying.
Loves to play outside
Is addicted to candy. Especially mints and lollipops.
Jetty is starting to get excited about sports.  He
says "baseball" and "football" and likes watching and playing them.
He likes brushing his teeth although it tickles him a ton.  I think he likes the taste of the Toddler toothpaste and he loves to brush alongside his Daddy.
He also likes his backpacks, we got him an elmo and a monkey backpack.
He loves the ipod and the ipad.  He knows how to work them pretty well.  He likes a few games and the music on them.  He also digs headphones with the ipod.
Jett loves to wash his hands and play with soap.  He's always climbing and trying to get his hands on some soap.
Jett is quite the enthusiastic climber, we keep our chairs and stools laid down on the ground.  If we don't he will push them around to get up on counters and the tables.
He likes to color and scribble....we try to keep this directed to paper but you know how that goes.
Jett absolutely loves to get into Heidi and Kaiyas make up.  This becomes a disaster in a hurry!  He's gotten in the nail polish and made us work pretty hard to get it out of the carpet.
He's a nut for chap stick, calls it "yip stick"
Mom has pretty much banned him from shopping right now.  He won't stay in the cart anymore and with Cannon, she can't chase him around.  He's a mini monster at the store, he really just wants to run around and explore.  He realizes that Mom has to stay with Cannon and tries to take full advantage.
He's so obsessed with the sinks and counters that I've turned off the water to one of our master bath sinks.  This sink has been his hang out spot for the last few months.  If Mom or Dad is in the bathroom, this is where you'll find him, brushing his teeth, digging through Dad's stuff and just being Jetty.
He loves the stars!  He will stare in awe for awhile when he's outside at night.  He says "stars" and moom", we also have the light up toy that puts stars on the ceiling for him.
Jett gets excited to put on his shoes, this means we're going out!  He says "oos" for shoes.
He gets really excited and says, "bye bye!"
He is a garbage freak. If Cirdan touches the garbage can he rushes over and has to help. He insists on trying to carry it out by himself. Cirdan has to let him hold it while he lifts him up to put in the outside trash can.
His nicknames are Bigs, Jetty and Jetty boots.

5 Year Anniversary

Cirdan and I celebrated our 5th year anniversary (Sept 15th)! Crazy it's been 5 years yet so much has happened. We had a fun day and was able to go out to dinner later that night. We decided to eat at Jak's in Issaquah. Afterwards we went to Best Buy to get surround sound for our tv in the family room. Something we have been wanting for a while.
Cirdan had the waitress bring me a wrapped box. It was this beautiful necklace inside. I love sapphire and it is the stone for September...the month we got married. So creative Cirdan!
The pictures are dark but we ate so much good food!
Our cute little 3rd wheel
We only get dessert on special occasions. YUMMY
Cirdan also got me a ton of flowers. My favorite!!!
Things that have happened these past 5 years...

3 kids + Ava coming into our lives
2 houses
4 different cars
2 job layoffs

Update

Ella is sick. She said her tummy hurt yesterday morning but she says that often and she wanted to still go to preschool so I let her go. When she got home she laid on the couch for about an hour (which is not like her) and that is when the first puking started. She threw up a couple more times that night. This morning Cirdan and I woke up to her throwing up once again. I wanted her to sleep in my room (on the floor) in case that happened. So far today she is doing better. I am so happy because tomorrow is Halloween! I would have hated for her to miss out on the fun. Now just holding my breath that no one else gets it.

I love the fact that Ella knows what is going on with my soap opera (Days of our Lives). Cirdan the other night asked a question about who died and I told him to ask Ella. She didn't miss a beat. That's my girl! (sad, I know)

Last week we went to Rainforest Cafe in the mall. On our way there we walked past a store and on the mannequin was this sweater that I feel in love with. I knew I had to go back and get it. Kaiya is becoming more aware of fashion and getting more interested in it. She now tells me when I wear something that doesn't look good. She came with me into the store and said..."you better not buy that. Are you seriously going to buy that? No! Please don't buy that!" She told me that if I did it looked like a grandma sweater. Little does she know I LOVE GRANDMA SWEATERS!!! I wore it to church the next day and she was pretty embarrassed. What a sweater snob! :)

I am sad Cirdan and I aren't dressing up for Halloween this year. I ran a bunch of costumes past him but each time he said no. He did say a couple days ago that next year we will dress up...and we will do it big!!! He better not be lying. I am already planning next years costumes.

Kids are Funny

Jett follows me around all day. It's hard to get anything done with him always taking apart what I had just cleaned. Since he is with me all the time he is starting to act like me. I went into Kaiya's room today to get her dirty clothes. Her room was messy. I walked in and said, "Kaiya" in an annoyed voice (even though she was at school). Jett came in a couple minutes later and breathed out loud and said...."Kaiya". He hadn't even heard me do it. He had come in...looked at the mess and did the same thing. Ha ha.
Later tonight I came up to my room to change into my workout clothes. Jett followed me and as soon as he came into my room he breathed heavy and said..."dada, clean". He was saying that Cirdan needed to clean. There was some clothes around that I had folder earlier today that was still not put away.
That boy makes me so frustrated sometimes but he is such a fun, loving boy. I love him to pieces!!!

Oh, and one more thing. I put on a Minnie Mouse tank top to workout in. Jett looked at it, pointed, and said, "hot dog!". He loves the show Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and they sing a song that goes...
hot dog, hot dog, hot diggity dog
Made me laugh.
Ella came in after she heard Jett say hot dog (probably because she loves anything that has to do with food). She looked at my shirt and asked, "did you buy that shirt when you were a mom?" with a confused look on her face. Oh kids.....they say the funniest things.

The Madonna Concert

One thing I wanted to do in my life was go to a Madonna concert. My dreams came true on October 3rd. I have been a huge fan forever! I know all her songs and love all of them. Her music make me feel great! I remember when I was pregnant with Kaiya and living in Arizona. I would listen to her song titled Little Star and I would think about having a baby girl. That song will always remind me of being pregnant with Kaiya. Good memories of being excited to have my first little baby.

Another memory is of the song - Don't Tell Me. I listened to this song when I was going through a really rough time in my life. I was with my ex and we were living with my aunt and uncle. I would put on my headphones and listen to this album to put me in a better place. It would allow me to not focus on what was going on.
Madonna's Hard Candy album reminds me of when I met Cirdan. Kaiya was 3 and she also loved listening to this album. She would sing along and make me proud. Ha ha. I have a clip on youtube of her singing and dancing to Madonna. That album brings back good memories.
Her latest album is one that will remind me of Ella. Ella loves singing and dancing to the songs. On her 4th birthday we played - Birthday Song - over and over and over. She thought that song was written for her. It was really cute.

My cousin Steph wanted to go with me. This was the first time going out since Cannon was born. I was nervous but knew that Cirdan could handle it at home. Steph met me at my house, we took a pre picture and headed into Seattle.
I had heard that Madonna didn't go onto stage until 10:30 the night before but didn't want to trust that it would happen again so we still got there around 7:00 and waited. To me it was worth the wait.
While we waited we took some pictures. This wasn't even half of them. It may look like we are vain...but we aren't. Or at least I am not. Ha ha Steph....
She had a little too much to drink....
just kidding
This one reminds me of the Christmas story when he swears in slow motion. Steph doesn't swear though...
There were some people that dressed up. Here are some of the freaks.
Madonna's 7 year old son opened up with the DJ Martin Solvang. It was really cute.
And here she is....
LOVED her!!
I think it is awesome that she is 54 and still dancing the way she does.
The last song she did was my favorite of the night. She changed out of her heels to some tennis shoes, danced and had fun.
After the concert we had to wait in the parking garage a while because of all the traffic. We were bored and took some more pictures. Like I said....we aren't vain.
What an amazing night!!
