Grandma and Grandpa Visit

Sue and Richard made a visit in August to meet Cannon. The kids were excited that they were here. They took Kaiya, Ella and Jett to Target to pick out a toy or something for school. Cirdan and I went to TJ Maxx and were able to shop without the kids, which was wonderful! Oh, they also took the kids for an ice cream cone...which they love!

The Children's Museum

The last days of summer were approaching so we decided to have a fun family day. We planned to go to the little zoo in Issaquah but we drove there and realized it was closed. Plan B was either the aquarium, Woodland park zoo or the Children's Museum (which we had never been to). We ended up at the museum which was a good choice. The kids had a blast.

Kaiya's eyes lit up and was so excited to play in the fake store. The girls could shop for items, put them in their carts and then check out. It was a little girls dream come true! Kaiya loves to play cashier.
This area was perfect for Jett. He loves playing with tools.
Here was another favorite for Kaiya. On stage performing. She would have loved for us to sit there all day and watch her.

Kelton

Kelton came into town the end of July and stayed with us for a few days. Kelton is Cirdan's half brother. They haven't seen each other since 2005 (which is when I met him). Kelton has been living with his dad in Philadelphia (they have the same mom) but got accepted to BYU so he will be moving a lot closer. It was super fun to have him here. He is a really nice, respectful young man. This kid is amazing. When he was little he lived in Utah with his mom and would sometimes go to church. His family in Phili is Jehovah Witness so once he moved he went to that church. Over the years though he kept strong about what he wanted. He was dead set on going to BYU. I remember Cirdan and him talking about it on the phone when Kelton was about 14 and I was thinking....yeah right , it's so far away, he will change his mind. NOPE! He knew what he wanted and he made sure he got it. He has also had a goal to go on a mission. He will complete a year of college and then go. Kelton's would go to the public library and check out a Book of Mormon so he could read it. He has a ton of faith.
Cirdan set up some fun things to do while he was here. They went to a Seahawks practice. I was super bummed I couldn't go since I had just had Cannon 2 weeks earlier. They also went to a Mariner game and to see the Blue Angels.
We just got his tickets for him to come for Christmas! Looking forward to spending more time with him and show him how Christmas is celebrated in the Imbler home.
