Elf - Part 2

After intermission Kaiya had her tap dance.

Then changed into her lyrical dress and performed. This is her first year doing lyrical and she loves it.

Next came jazz...

Look at that attitude!

She ran off stage and had to run right back on to be a towns person. I think she forgot to take a scarf or hat or something...ha ha

She changed back into her elf costume and went out as an elf one last time.

All the Xtreme dance team kids went out and had one last dance.

And then the show was over! It really was fabulous. I am really excited to see the June show now that the December one was so good! These kids work so hard!

ADA - ELF Production - Part 1

The dance performance last month was the best one that I have been to yet! The theme was ELF. It was funny, it grabbed my attention and the kids did an outstanding job!! I can't wait to get the DVD to watch it again.
Kaiya was very busy during this performance. She had at least 8 costume changes (she isn't here so I can't check with her). Her first dance was hip hop and she absolutely rocked it!!!!! She stood out and did such a great job. It looked awesome. We ended up taping all her dances but not the hip hop one and I am still made at myself!!! She did great.

Then she changed and was party of the hip hop party crew.

Next was her Angels performance. It wasn't a dance class...but an extra part of the show.

Ella was up next!! She even had a quick costume change. Ella looked so cute in her ballet tutu. She did so good! Ella loves the stage...even at a young age. It was funny - in her ballet class she was supposed to switch from the back from the front in the middle of the song. She was standing on stage talking to someone off stage. We were wondering what the heck she was doing. Come to find out she was telling them that they were supposed to change and didn't. Ha.

She ran backstage and someone helped her change into her hip hop costume. Ella did really good! She loves hip hop...like Kaiya.

Look at those moves!

Intermission is right after the little kids go onstage so that we can go pick them up and they can watch the rest of the show from the audience.

Kaiya's next dance was ballet. Kaiya doesn't like ballet very much but she is doing really well.

She then changed into her elf costume. This was another character costume and not one of her main classes. My mom sewed and Kaiya and I designed it. I actually had what I thought it should look like in my mind and Kaiya changed it up when I wasn't there. When I first found out I doubted she knew what she was doing but she did a great job! Better than what I had thought of! Made me proud!

Gingerbread Houses

Gingerbread houses! Every year it seems like Christmas time would not be the same without putting them together...but it's definitely not something that I love to do. This year Cirdan and I decided to do a candy lane house. We just piled on a bunch of colored candies. Not the usual green and red. It's kind of funny because we have a gingerbread bag that we collect candy throughout the year for our house. Candy from V-Day, Easter, birthday's etc. I can't remember the last year that we actually bought candy for houses.

Jett loved eating the candy. It was hard to keep him away from it.

Our house

This was the house my dad made. Very creative. I think my brother put the tree together for him. It was a Hawaiian/beach house.

Santa Pictures

Here are the 2011 Santa pictures. I was shocked when we had no criers (Jett)!! Every other year is so nice to get pictures taken. Since Ava is here for Thanksgiving odd years, it makes those years nice...with no long lines. The even years usually take a minimum of an hour and with little kids that hour or longer is a LONG time. We love Santa!

G6 and I5

We got together with our friends, David and Sheree a couple weeks before Christmas. David and Cirdan have been friends for many, many years. I get along really well with Sheree and their kids and our kids love playing together. We went a couple years not seeing each other but in the last 6 months we have already gotten together 2 times. Hopefully we will be seeing more of them! (they live in Edmonds, which isn't close to us)
That night David went to coach a soccer game for his daughter Isabella and Cirdan went with. Kaiya and Ella stayed and made some Christmas crafts with Hannah and Madi. When the guys came home, they made dinner and we ate. It was a late night but we had a ton of fun and next time the G6 need to come out to Covington!!
