Family Pictures

Imbler Family Pictures

Here are some of the pictures that we had taken while we were in Spokane in August. They turned out great! I'm excited to be able to hang some of these on my walls at our new home!!

The Busy Bee's Go to The Pumpkin Patch

(Cirdan) I took the morning off at work (my boss is a jerk but he let me have a few hours off) and went on Ella's preschool field trip. Off to the pumpkin patch we go!

Ella had perfect timing with the class picture. Right when all the kids were getting set for the big shot, Ella yells "Daddy I have to go potty." That's my Ella, right on cue. Unfortunately she wasn't in the class picture but hopefully a few pictures I got make up for it.

The kids were able to run around the front of Carpinito Brothers when we arrived. It helped them get some of their excited energy out. Then came the famous hay ride which the kids enjoyed.

This is where we got started....

We Found the Perfect One!

We made an offer on a house! After searching for that perfect house for the last couple months we have finally found it. We originally searched in Maple Valley, really wanting to move out there. It is one of the best cities to live in and the school district is one of the best also. The only thing out there that even came close was a short sale....but even that house didn't feel 'right'. Last Saturday we had list of about 4 houses to go look at. A short sale in Maple Valley, a foreclosure in Covington and a couple in Covington/Kent that were brand new. The short sale in Maple Valley were just like the others that we saw in MV. Plus it had another house right in the backyard and the neighborhood was tight and made me feel claustrophobic. We then went to the Covington house. I didn't realize it was so close to my parents house. The online description of this house wasn't very descriptive. In fact, when we got there I told Cirdan to run in with our real estate lady and come out and tell me if it was even worth going into. I was outside with the kids. Cirdan came out shortly and told me that I needed to go in. I asked him why but all he said was..."go look". When I walked in I was pleasantly surprised. It had tall ceilings in the entry with a staircase that was very visibly pleasing.

One of the big things we were looking for was 4 bedrooms, a bonus room and an office. This house had it! The listing had said only 4 bedrooms but it is actually 5 with a bonus. We will make the downstairs bedroom into an office. It only took me about 4 minutes to realize that this house was meant to be. I instantly felt good about this house...something that I had not felt with any other house. Cirdan really wanted to find a house in a cul-de-sac...I wanted one that backed up to a greenbelt. This house had both!! We didn't even bother with the other houses we were going to see and rushed home so that Shauna (our real estate agent) could go and prepare the papers for us to sign and put in an offer.

The offer came back on Monday with the bank making a counter offer. We took that and got a verbal agreement. Yesterday we had the inspector out and his report is done. I sure hope that everything goes smoothly. I am really hoping that we can move in before Thanksgiving. These next few weeks are going to be crazy! We are really excited though and anxious to get into our new home.

We will be really close to my parents, brother and sister in law, and our friends Sandy, Chad, Brett and Hailey. Pretty much walking distance to all their houses!

Jett - 11 months

I was doing Jett's birthday invitations and didn't know what picture I wanted to use so I took Jett outside to see if I could take a good picture of him. Here are some that I got. I can't believe this kid will be 1 in a couple weeks! He is my little momma's boy....who needs a haircut....BAD.

4th Grade has started

Yay! School has officially started! We finally got our books! This is the 3rd week in and I love the curriculum. Kaiya has already been pushed to another level. The rough subjects have been math and science but the rest has been easy for her. In school they never really learned science and this program focuses a lot on science. It's been exciting to see her new learn things that she wouldn't have in school. It's been keeping me very, VERY busy but it is worth it....I just need to keep reminding myself that. There has been some tears already and it has really pushed me to try and be calm. Kaiya is really enjoying it and doesn't want to go back to a public school.

This was the box we received with her books. There were around 20 books and workbooks inside. A TON! My kitchen table has been taken over by school stuff.

Bend!

This is what we have been seeing a lot of lately. Kaiya has been practicing so much to go back into a backbend and bridge. She has done it a few times by herself. When she wants to do something she really puts her mind to it and gets it done. They do these at dance. This year they have a rhythmic gymnast come and teach them one hour a week. It has really helped the girls with their flexibility...Kaiya especially! I have enjoyed watching her learn these new tricks!

Little Snow White and her Princess Party

The dance academy held a Princess Party. I tried to get Kaiya to go but I guess she is too old for that now. Ella had a lot of fun. A lot of the older girl dancers dressed up in pretty dresses and helped with the party. A lot of those girls are Ella's friends.
They all learned a dance, made a craft (blinged out a comb), got their face painted and ate a princess snack.

This is what happens when the boys are at the party...

Come Here Little Fly.....

We had a crane fly in the house and that's when we found out that Jett...
1) isn't afraid of bugs
2) is a bug catcher
He tried forever to catch the fly. It made me squirm a few times. He would catch it and try to get it in his mouth only to have the crane fly squirm out of his little fingers just in time. Thank goodness. I love watching this little boy act so...boyish!!!

Happy 4 Year Anniversay Cirdan!

Cirdan and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary on September 15th. We started the day out doing something we do every year. Going out to breakfast at the Black Diamond Bakery (the place we had our breakfast with our families the morning of our wedding). We hadn't really left Jett, so it was nice to eat without wrestling with kids. My mom watched them for us. Usually when we go to a restaurant I am walking out with only eating a couple bites.

We mentioned to the waitress that we were celebrating our anniversary. When she came with the bill she brought a big slice of brownie with a lit candle. Everyone in the resturant sang Happy Anniversay, to the tune of Happy Birthday. We both were shocked and turned a shade of red but it was really nice of them! Very nice, fun surprise.

We usually go to the fair but this year we decided to skip out. Instead, we picked up the kids and went to the mall.

It's been a great 4 years! So many things have changed these last few years. All for the best! I can't wait to see what the next 4 years brings us!

Take Time to Breath

This past week I have had a canker sore. Why? Probably because I am stressed. My life is so busy that sometimes I have to remember to breath. My typical day -

6:45 - wake up and workout (run between 3- 4 1/2 miles)
7:50 - shower/dress
8:30 - wake up Ella and Kaiya
8:40 - 9:15 - Feed the kids, get Ella and Jett dressed, put my makeup on, make sure Kaiya is dressed. Have Kaiya straighten her bedroom. Load Jett in car seat. Make sure Ella has bag and shoes on. Load everyone in car.
9:30 - Walk Ella into preschool
9:45 - get home and start school stuff with Kaiya
10:00 - 11:40 - Work with Kaiya on school, take care of Jett (on good days he sleeps some of this time), do housework, laundry, feed Jett, remind Kaiya about 5 times that she needs to do school stuff, catch up on emails or help with Puget Sound Moving. Get kids back in car.
12:00 - pick up Ella
12:20 - Make kids lunch
1:00 - Help Kaiya with school, distract Ella from bugging Kaiya, take care of Jett, break up fights, wipe Ella after she goes to bathroom, get Ella a drink, make sure Jett doesn't hurt himself
3:30 - 3:50 - start getting the kids ready to leave, make sure Kaiya is dressed for dance and has her water bottle and cell phone, pack snacks for Ella. Load kids in car. Take Kaiya to dance
4:15 - drop Kaiya off
4:35 - Get home, start dinner, clean up the house, try not to lose my temper too much with the kids. Ella hasn't taken a nap yet so she cries and fights with Jett.
6:00 - 6:30 - Cirdan gets home. Then I leave to pick up Kaiya
7:30 - 8:30 - Get Kaiya and go home. Get the kids ready for bed and wrestle with them to go to sleep. Ella usually stays up WAY too late (10 pm) and Jett usually goes to sleep around 9.
10:00 - Sit down and try and relax - but still have kids come out and not want to go to sleep.

Other things? I have been helping out with dance and fundraising so I make cake pops about once a week. I am the secretary in the primary and the secretary for the Xtreme parents association. I try to fit in grocery shopping. In between everything I try to keep my house clean. I am convinced I need a house cleaner so that I can spend more time on other things I need to do. Our life is fun...but busy! I better get used to it because I don't see it slowing down any time soon!
