Jett at 9 Months
Weight - 17 lbs 9.6 oz
Height - 28 inches
He walks around the house with his toy walker
Says Da da and Ma ma
Loves to wake up his sisters
Gives open mouth kisses
Fights his sleep
Wakes up 2-3 times a night
Plays with cars on ground, pushes them around from room to room
Spins wheels on his big toy truck and wagon
Makes funny faces, squishes his nose up and does funny breathing
Shoots himself forward when we wakes up over and over, head first
Copies a clicking noise you make with your tongue
Pulls the string on the Jessie doll
Held his food today and fed himself with the travel baby foods that have a spout
Loves the bath, loves the shower, absolutely loooves water and cries when he gets out most of the time
Always acts coy and has a silly grin when he puts something in his mouth and we see him do it
Shakes his head back and forth
Waves and sometimes waves back at you
Loves being tickled, I put his hand on my chin stubble and he cracks up (Cirdan) obviously
Likes playing peek a boo and patty cake
Does not want to be held or in his car seat for too long. He wants to crawl and climb and move
Started dancing when the music is on. He will shake, bend his knees and bob around.
Likes pulling sisters hair
Likes to stand up against everything and walk along it
Eats everything off the ground
doesn't like baby food anymore
Likes hummus, avocado, croissants, mashed potatoes, egg yolk, applesauce
He is always crawling down to the play room to play with the girls

Xtreme Dance Tryouts
I am so proud of my superstar! Kaiya had Xtreme tryouts last Saturday. We received the results via email last night at 10:00 pm. The Xtreme coaches put Kaiya into 7 routines!!!! That is a lot!!!!! Last year she only had 2 and her duo.
They placed her with the older girls this year. She is in 2 groups where the average age is 11 and one that is 12! We met with the studio owner tonight (Jennifer) to see what she is thinking since this is a HUGE commitment and we are kind of shocked going from 3 to 7. She started the meeting telling us that the xtreme coaches were fighting over Kaiya and they already cut her out of 2 routines they really wanted her in. We asked if maybe we could cut it down to 6 with a solo (which wouldn't require the weekly practice).
We decided that with choreograph camp is in a couple weeks we will see how it goes then and take her out of a routine or two. With the 7 classes it would mean she would have each week...
Ballet (1 hour)
Tap (1 hour)
Jazz (1 hour)
Jazz tech (1 hour)
Hip Hop (1 hour)
Conditioning (2 hour class)
And then all 7 xtreme classes which would be around 5 1/2 hours all on one night.
That is a lot of dancing!!! We are proud of you Kaiya!! Your hard work is paying off! Kick some butt this year!!

Broken Nose
Ella woke up this morning and came out to the living room where I was. She said, "Mom! My nose is broken!!" Every time she has a stuffy nose she says her nose is broken.
This morning she added, "it doesn't make noises" and then breathed in
Silly
Also, whenever she runs a bunch or walks for a while and gets tired she stops and says "I need to breath out!". It always makes me laugh.

Pool Time
What we have been up to lately
We have been incredibly busy since returning from California. While we were in California word came out that the other owner of Auburn Dance opened up her own studio (illegally). Half of the kids from the Xtreme team went over to her studio. It was a lot of drama and a lot of shady things happening. I was happy about the people who left and went to the other studio. They are people who love drama. This past 6 months at dance has been anything but fun with these other parents hanging around the studio. You can feel their bad vibes just walking through the doors. They even created a group name for themselves...the Dead Bones Society. Part of the initiation for at least 2 of the members was to steal something. One had to steal from Lovers Package the other from Walgreens (which was a 13 year old girl). They also called themselves the "Jenn haters" (Jenn is the other owner). Crazy stuff.
When we got home the parents that were left got together and wanted to makeover the studio. Make it nice and fun for the kids that stayed. Cirdan, Jake, Jenny and I are in charge of colors and the layout of the "new" studio. Once the colors were picked we spent 2 full days prepping to paint. We had about 6 others there to help us but it still took FOREVER. Cirdan had to work so he would come help when he could. When it was time to finally paint Cirdan was the one who sprayed the walls. We would get there early and leave around Midnight or later. It was long days but it was so worth it! The studio looks great! It's not even complete yet but the difference is night and day. I should have taken more pre pictures. I need to find out who has some so I can post.
Pre pictures of the inside. There was a lot of pictures that we hanging up but I took the picture after they were already taken down.

Carrington's Fundraiser
Peter Carrington owns Kaiya's dance academy with his wife Jennifer. Last May he had heart failure. It was a scary and sad time in the Carrington's life. They have 5 kids who my kids all love. They are also members of our church. One family at the dance place took it upon themselves to plan a carnival to make money for the Carrington's health bills. Cirdan and I told them that we would help in any way that we could. The day before I made 6 boxes of cupcakes for the cake walk. I also made about 150 cake pops to sell at the bake sale. The day of the carnival Cirdan and I went early to help them set up. The night of the carnival we helped out with a few of the stations.
It was a really fun and successful night! They ended up bring in $3500 that day. WOW!
They had a bouncy house, open gym (it was held at a gymnasium), cake walk, face painting, hair tinsel, BBQ, some games, a live band and a silent auction. So many people donated their time and money. It was really great to see all the involvement.

Kaiya had my camera and took these pictures.
