Disneyland - 4th of July!

On Monday morning Kaiya had an early morning dance for her Kiss routine. I woke up with her super early and got her ready. It was nice because the competition was at the hotel so we didn't have to get in the car and drive anywhere. It was one of the few perks of staying at the expensive hotel. She has to be dressed and ready to compete 2 hours before her first scheduled dance so everyone else slept and came down just in time to see her perform. They did awesome...best performance yet for that routine! It was a great way to go out for the year!

We had said that we were not going to go to Disneyland for the 4th of July because of the crowds but decided to go anyway. It was crowded everyday so it didn't seem to be any different.
My mom had Ella in the morning at Disneyland while I was at competition with Kaiya. Kaylee and Cirdan were off together riding big scary rides. Kaiya, Jett and I met up with my mom and Ella and stopped to eat a corn dog. It was really hot outside and I was not really wanting to stick around Disneyland for long.

We met up with Cirdan and Kaylee in Critter Country and got some pictures with Tigger and Eeyore.

Tigger was being silly with Kaylee and messed up her hair.

Kaiya was sooo hot. We all were so we decided to head back to the hotel and relax before heading back out for 4th of July celebrations.

While heading out of the park we ran into Ariel

After we rested up Cirdan, Ella, Jett and I headed out to get some dinner. My mom, Kaylee and Kaiya stayed up in the room. We ended up at ESPN Zone because it had the shortest wait time. It was packed!
That restaurant is really cool. The big wall had a ton of tv's all playing sports stuff. At our table we even had our own little tv playing sports. It was really loud and hard to hear anyone but a great atmosphere!

After we ate we went to hang out at Downtown Disney. We contemplated heading over to Disneyland but we decided to just watch them from where we were. I did not want to walk over there. The firework show was...interesting. I thought it would be this big thing being it was the 4th of July but it didn't last that long at all. I am pretty sure it is just the same old fireworks that are lit off every night. Bummer!

Kaiya came down to hang out with us. We watched the fireworks with Chris, Starley and Ashley.

We ran into more of our friends and hung out with them for a little while.

Disneyland - Day 4

Kaiya had 2 dances on Sunday morning. She performed her duo-Whip My Hair and large group- I Like to Fuss. The Eads wanted to see her dance so they arrived just in time to watch the I Like to Fuss dance and awards.
It was nice to be done with these dances. They have practiced them so much this past year and with all the competitions they were in I am ready for new dances and new costumes!!

Afterwards, we were all hungry so we drove to Five Guys Burgers and ate some delicious burgers! Then they took us to Hermosa Beach. Since it was 4th of July weekend the beaches were crazy busy. They took us through Newport Beach and it was insane. I don't think there was anyone there under 30 and there was a billion people there partying. I felt old.

Jett's first steps in the sand. He wasnt too sure about it!

Since we had a 5 day Disneyland pass we decided to go that night. Ella was excited and was the first one ready waiting for the rest of us. She was so funny about her sunglasses and would want to wear them all the time. Even at night.

Ella would be at the door and say "let's go people" or "ready to roll"

We decided to go to California Adventure first with the intention of going to Disneyland when Adventure closed (10 pm). By the time we left we were exhausted so we just went back to the hotel.

This is the new World of Color show. We never waited for the"good" seats but we would stand on the other side of the water and the view was just as good! Lots less people too! We even took advantage and with all the people watching the show the rides lines were super short so we rode on a couple and saved a lot of time! One was Toy Story which was a blast! That was my first time on that one and The Little Mermaid which is a new ride that non of us had been on.

I love the way Disney looks at night. With all the light and the rides lit up. I always want to just stand there and take a bunch of pictures.

We stopped at one of the little shops...

On the way out we stopped to play in the blue lights. There is a show called Electronica, which we didnt attend. I guess it is like a big street dance party or something.
