Ava's Visit and her 6th Birthday!

Ava came to Washington for a week during her birthday which was June 18th. She turned the big 6! That was the 1st time we got to spend her birthday with her on the actual day, which was exciting.
She came to our house on Friday. Kaiya had school and it was her 3rd grade field day. I had offered to help and also asked if I could bring Ava along. Ava could hardly wait to see Kaiya! We hung out at the house for a bit before leaving. Ava had fun playing with Jett and catching up on the new things that he was doing since the last time she saw him. She loves to take pictures with him.

Field Day games

Since Saturday (Ava's birthday) was going to be a busy day with dance rehearsals and a birthday party for one of Kaiya's friends we decided to take the family for a birthday dinner on Friday. Ava chose Applebees.

After dinner we walked to Cold Stone for some dessert.

Saturday morning Kaiya had to be at dance really early...7:30! Kaiya ended up waking up about 5:00 am to print out some things for Ava for her birthday present. She came in and woke me up...I wasn't very happy with that. Ava went with me to drop off Kaiya and then Ava and I went to pick up some birthday donuts. We sat there so she could eat one of her donuts. We took the rest home for Ella and Kaiya.

Ella also had dance rehearsals so we all got ready and went back to dance to pick up Kaiya. She had a 45 minute break and we decided to take the girls to Starbucks. My girls love getting steamed vanilla milk or iced carmel milk. We dropped Kaiya off and went to the mall for a bit...I had to get a present for the birthday party Kaiya attended later that night. We went back to dance for Ella's rehearsal in the afternoon.

We then went home real quick and took Kaiya to her party. It was for a friend of hers from school. The party was at a barn where they could ride horses. It was kind of interesting, fun party but interesting. The party was held IN the barn so it was really really stinky and dark. The kids ate in the barn. Kind of gross but the kids had fun!! While we waited for the party to get over we took the other kids to pizza.
Oh I forgot to mention that Kaiya was sooooo excited to give Ava her birthday present. She told Ava that she woke up at 5:00 to do homework but she was really printing out pictures and bookmarks with Justin Bieber on them. Kaiya thought out the gift and it was cute to see her so happy to make and give something to Ava.

When we got home we celebrated with DQ ice cream cake. We sang to Ava and she opened up gifts. We (as in Cirdan and I) also had a ice cream icing fight. It was all over my face and hair. Kaiya also thought it would be fun to wear her icing.

All the girls wanted a different princess to eat. Only one princess was left (Princess and the Frog) so Cirdan had her...he felt bad the girls didn't want her.

Ella is always making some sort of funny face if she knows I am taking a picture.

Grandma and Grandpa Imbler gave her a makeup case.

Crazy girl

Happy 6th Birthday Ava!! We are so glad you were here to celebrate it with us!!!!

Kaiya's Dance Pictures 2011

Extra Terrestrial...I think by Katy Perry. This routine got a huge applause at the dance recital.

Hip Hop Duo with Tatum- Whip My Hair, G6

Kaiya's "buddy" Starley, each kid has an assigned buddy at dance. Kaiya looks up to Starley, Starley is an amazing dancer! If you watch her dance you would think she is 17 or 18 but she turned 13 this year. She does like 20 dances in each competition, her solo dances are flat out fabulous.

One Day I Will Be Bigger Than You Kaiya...Jett

Kaiya DID want a little brother. Not sure whether to laugh or be concerned.

Not cute, not cool, not funny- DAD

Get this off me!!!

I asked Kaiya to watch Jett for me so I could clean the house in peace but when I took a short break this is what I found.

Oh oh

Oopsies

Jett Jett climbs through and over anything he can spot. He is a little striker....

Face plant....great form

Our Little Guy Is Growing Up!

Jett woke up from his nap and this is how I found him...he pulls himself up all day long now.

The little stinker. We need to move down his mattress asap!

Somebody loves bathtime in the kitchen sink!

Casey's the Pirate - 3!

Casey's 3rd birthday party was this past June. It was a pirate theme.
The kids had a blast! Happy Birthday Casey!

Over and Under and Through

Homemade obstacle course...he can't get enough.

Another Talent Show Video

I took this video. I didn't realize all the kids would rush to the front of the stage. Those kids are tall! It was hard to see Kaiya...

School Talent Show

Kaiya really wanted to do the school talent show this year. When I asked her what she wanted to do for it I thought she would say tap, ballet, hip hop or jazz but instead she said....piano!! I was shocked! Piano??? She does take piano lessons but she spends so much time at dance and she is really good at it. I told her no way jose. She would be dancing.
I talked to a lady at dance who teaches 3rd grade at Kaiya's school and who has a son in 4th grade. The boy (Matthew) is also in Kaiya's hip hop class. We thought it would be fun for the 2 of them to perform together. They had a couple practices before the show but they pulled it off!
The kids in the school loved seeing Kaiya dance. Lots of kids came up to her afterwards to talk to her about dance and to tell her what an awesome job she did. One girl even brought her mom to come watch Kaiya. It was cute.

First Toothers

The last night we were in Oregon, Cirdan, my Mom and I (who was sleeping in the room next to us) got NO sleep. Jett was up for hours crying. He had never done that before, Cirdan and I tried everything to calm him down. Fed him food, nursed him, turned on the fan, gave him Tylenol, gave him a cold celery stick, changed his diaper etc. The next morning we were all exhausted. A few days later when we were at home I noticed his bottom teeth were popping up! Poor guy was in pain. He now has 2 bottom teeth...the top ones have yet to make their appearance but I am hoping it's not next week while we are in California.
