Kaiya's Birthday Party!

We had Kaiya's 9th birthday party at Super Jump. She invited her closes dance and school friends. It was a good turn out! All the kids had a lot of fun! I am not sure I will have another party at the house again. It was so nice to not have to clean, clean, clean and then once everyone leave clean again! Kaiya's favorite part of her birthday party was the slides. Her favorite birthday gift was a white board and barbies.

Sometimes I Wish I Was Still A Kid

So carefree...

Jett 7 Months

As you can see by the pictures our boy loves to eat! He drools over food...when I eat a sandwich or anything yummy he stares and grabs at it. He has been doing this for 3 months now.

At Jett's 7 month appointment these were his stats...

25" long

16 lbs 2 oz

At 6 months he weighed...

15 lbs 9 oz

I didn't take him to his 6 month shots/check up appointment until he was 7 months. He was sick most of the month. Runny nose, low fever, cough and yuckiness. He still has a runny icky nose but 2 teeth recently popped up so I am assuming that is why.

Things he is doing...

Army crawl - he is still not crawling on his knees but will get up for a couple seconds than fall down and start scooting around on the floor. He is fast though! Crawling around like a mad man.

What was his 1st word?? Dada!! He loves to say it and does all the time. I have tried to teach him Mama but unfortunately he is stuck on Dada which makes Cirdan very happy.

He likes all food except peas, green beans and chicken/turkey. He eats mostly everything...bananas, squash, carrots, pears, applesauce, mangos, avocados, mash potatoes etc.

He also loves snacks (definitely his fathers son). Baby Mum Mums and little finger cheerio things. He is good at picking them up with his little fingers.

Jett loves to dance to the music...I hold him up and he shakes and moves his little legs fast when the music is on.

A favorite activity is crawling through the chairs and stools in the kitchen. Sometimes he gets stuck and someone has to rescue him. He looks for anything to crawl over, under or through and goes full speed.

He loves his sisters and enjoys when they are being silly. He smiles and laughs at them. Ella likes to nuzzle her head against his back to make him laugh. Kaiya kisses him non stop.

He is a total momma's boy. I have been trying to leave him with Cirdan more so he can be used to not having me around 24/7. He loves his Momma!! When I am in the same room with him he always has to have one eye always on me. I feel like I have a little stalker. :)

He wakes up an average of 2 or 3 times a night. A couple times he only woke up 1 time.

Girls Night

Starley and Kaylee are the daughters of the owners at Kaiya's dance academy. The owners are also LDS so it's nice that they have the same values as us. Staryley and Kaylee are 2 very fun, good girls and Kaiya looks up to them. They invited Kaiya and Tatum over to have a girls night. Jennifer (their mom) also asked if Jett and I would like to stay...so we did! The girls started the night out with some home made avocado masks. Kaiya is a pansy about things and was freaked out about the whole thing. She does NOT like to get messy. While they were letting their masks harden they watched some Nickelodeon and took some pictures. Then they washed it all off. They all said their faces were super soft! Kaiya loved it! I think we will try it again when Ava comes to visit. They played XBox 360 Kinect and came back up for some pizza and nail paintin. All the girls had a lot of fun!! It's nice to be involved with dance and meet a lot of good people. It's been a fun year!!

Music Program 2

3rd Grade Music Program

Kaiya had a small speaking part in her 3rd grade music program that she was so excited about. They had to try out for their parts and she made sure to memorize it. I love the fact that I don't have to push her to do these things. She wants and likes to be involved. Great job Kaiya!!

I Love My Busy Life

Life has been crazy busy as usual but I am trying to get caught up with my blog. Dance is getting busier with the recital coming up. Jett is growing up so fast. Eating solid food and scooting around like crazy. He loves to pick up all the little things he finds on the ground and put it in his mouth. We have to watch that sneaky little guy. Still no teeth but maybe soon? He is sick AGAIN with a cold...each time he has gotten sick I think it's because of a tooth but not yet!
Kaiya had her birthday party last Friday night and it was a huge success! She had a blast! I will be posting about it later.
This week is going to be nuts. We have dance pictures which means I have to do Kaiya's hair and make up on Monday and Tuesday...Ella's on Wednesday and then Kaiya's again on Thursday. Wahhhh!!! Then Friday we are going out of town for some fun! I am looking forward to that!
Hmmm what else. Ava comes into town next month for her birthday. She will stay a week! School is almost out which is nice! Actually, bitter sweet since Kaiya wont be at Lea Hill next year and will be at home. I am getting more nervous but still think it is for the best for sure. I have heard that they are taking PE and Music out of schools. That's crazy. Also, when I was a kid I remember doing art in school. I had a lot of fun learning different types of art. It occured to me the other day that Kaiya never brings home art projects and I asked her about it. She said that they do art maybe once every few months. That's again...crazy!! Kids need that stuff.
Cirdan's business is going great!! He just bought another truck so he now has 5. The surgeon that performed Jett's surgery on his tummy called about a week ago and wants Puget Sound Moving to move him to Vermont. He doesn't want his stuff put on a semi with a handful of other people's stuff so one of Cirdan's drivers will take the shipment and then fly home. It will be an expensive move for the surgeon but Cirdan made an impression on him and he remembered to call him when he was moving! The move will take place this next weekend.
My friend Sandy moved to Covington. She is close now and it's nice to have a wonderful friend so close! We have been having a blast! She is pregnant...going to have a boy in August. Can't wait to meet him!

Well, I am going to go to bed. Have lots to do tomorrow!
