Mothers Day

Kaiya didn't go to school the Friday before Mother's Day so I had to wait for my gift until Monday after school. It was worth the wait!
The necklace said...
My mom said she loves me and she also loves my sisters and brother to. I am so lucky to be loved by my mom!
My mom loves me and she loves to eat salmon
I love my mom because she always supports me
One time I lied and my mom still loved me

Queen for the Day - Sue's 60th

Sue turned 60 on May 6th. The kids and Richard threw a surprise birthday party for her. We had been in Spokane for Easter a couple weeks earlier but we couldn't miss her birthday.

We drove over on Friday in time to get to the party at 6:00. The party was held at Twigs: a restaurant in Spokane. Sue was so surprised and had no idea that she was going to spend her birthday with a lot of friends and family. Some she hadn't seen for many, many years. The friends drove from Utah and others from Western Washington. Her mother, brother, sister in law and nephew came up from Utah. Emily also was there from Portland with Sue's 2 favorite cousins.
