In Search of the Perfect Pumpkin

Between doctor appointments, dance, school, work, piano lessons and getting ready for the baby we found some time to go to the pumpkin patch. I took Kaiya out of school early  one day last week to make it happen. We went to the same patch as last year. This year was kind of disappointing. All, and I mean ALL the pumpkins were green or had a hole in it. Kaiya, Cirdan and Ella made the trek around and looked at almost all of them trying to find one good pumpkin. We settled for one okay one and the girls both got toddler pumpkins.
We had a little time before we had to be at Ella's dance class so the girls ran around and had some fun. I am not sure if we will carve pumpkins this year but at least we got some!

Nye Baby Shower

My aunt Debbie and sister Stacey threw my cousin Krista and I a baby shower. It was a lot of fun! We played a couple of games. The first was, 'how well do you know Krista and Heidi'. My cousin Allison knew the most about me...impressive! I thought Stacey would have won. Some of the questions were...

When are we due?
Where would we rather be? (besides hospital)
What were our cravings?
Epidural or no epidural?

How many kids do we want?

Do we let our babies cry or let them come into our bed?

The other game was guess how many candies were in the jar. My cousin Hayley's friend won that game.

We ate some really delicious food. A breakfast roll, fruit salad, an egg dish, chocolate covered strawberries, pumpkin pie and cheesecake.

My grandma called this afternoon to tell me that Krista had her baby this morning at 2 am. LUCKY! We were saying that it would be so cool to have a 10-10-10 baby or a 10-20-10 baby. She got her 10-10 baby! I guess I will try for the 10-20. But if he decides to come earlier than that it's okay with me!
