SeaWorld - Day 4

Day 4 in California we planned to go to San Diego. Once again none of us had been to SeaWorld. By the time we got through traffic it was around 11:00 am. The park was pretty empty...except for a lot of little Kindergarten age kids on field trips. We started by walking through the Clydesdale barn which I thought was kind of weird. I never expected horses at SeaWorld!! We then went over to the Atlantis area where there were a few really fun and playful dolphins.
Then Cirdan, Kaiya, Ella and I went to the Wild Arctic Interaction while my parents went off to see the sea otters? In the Wild Arctic we saw some seals, hand polar bears.

We then went to the Penguin Encounter which was so fun!! I loved those little penguins. They were super cute.

We went to the Shark Encounter. Kaiya was kind of scared of the sharks but I reassured her that they could not hurt her.

We ate some lunch at the Calypso Bay Smokehouse and then headed over to meet my parents at Shamu Stadium to watch the show. After much debate we sat in the splash zone but up on the top row over along the side of the stadium. Fortunately, we did not get wet (I was scared about my cameras). The show was AMAZING. Those animals are so smart...I came out of there wanting to be a trainer.

After the show we saw the flamingos...very pretty...then went to the Sesame Street Presents Lights, Camera, Imagination! A 4-D movie. The movie was such a cool experience. The seats in front of you shot out water so you got a little wet but it totally makes you feel like part of the movie!

Awesome 3D glasses...

Next we went to the Dolphin Stadium which was another very cool show. The dolphins and Shamu were definitely the highlights of the day. After the show we went to the little shops and Kaiya went with my parents to play in the Sesame Street Bay of Play where they rode some rides.

Honestly, I don't know if I would go to SeaWorld again. It was cool but nothing that I would want to see again. I did definitely love that we had the opportunity to experience it.

I absolutely love a fast food restaurant in Arizona named Filibertos. They have very yummy food at such a good price. Every time my dad goes to AZ I make him bring me home a burrito. I had totally spaced it that there are Filibertos in California until my mom mentioned it so I looked it up online at the hotel and they had 2 in San Diego. After we left SeaWorld we went to the best Mexican fast food in the USA. :) I was so giddy.

We started driving about 45 minutes back to Anaheim and decided to turn around and go back so we could see the San Diego temple. We had seen it from the road when we were driving to SeaWorld and it was unbelievable. You see pictures but in real life it is so breathtaking. My mom planted some seeds in Kaiya's head telling her she should get married there when she is older (MUCH older).

California Adventure - Day 3

We were so excited to start our Monday morning at Disneyland Adventure. None of us had ever been to the Adventure park. It was supposed to rain that day but the weather man was wrong and there wasn't a drop out of the sky. I guess everyone in Cali thought it was going to rain also and we had the park pretty much all to ourselves.

As soon as we got into the gates we were lucky enough to see Stitch and Minnie. That was a perfect way to start the day!
Kaiya and my parents split up from us and went to the Muppet Vision 3D movie. Cirdan, Ella and I went and played with the Monsters Inc toys and we even saw Goofy!

(In this picture Cirdan is trying to convince Goofy that he is getting his autograph for Kaiya and not himself. The funny thing is that Kaiya was no where around and it really seemed like it was Cirdan who wanted it).

Ella and I then waited for Cirdan as he went on the Tower of Terror. I chickened out and could not get up enough courage. My parents met us and my mom then went on the ride with Cirdan (for the 2nd time). Here is a picture....this is why I decided not to go. Look at Cirdan's face!!

We then went over to "a bug's land".
I

I LOVED this part of the park. We rode Flik's Flyers, Francis' Ladybug Boogie, Heimlich's Chew Chew Train and Tuck and Roll's Drive 'Em Buggies.

Next we went to the Pacific Wharf. That part of the park is pretty much restaurants. We had heard that we should to go to the Mission Tortilla Factory. My parents went on the tour while we bought some fresh made tortillas and ate them outside. YUM!

We then walked up through Ariel's Grotto and took some pictures.
Then to a part of the park named Paradise Pier. They have a really big scary high speed roller coaster named California Screamin that Cirdan went on. Then we had to ride the King Triton's Carousel. This was Ella's 1st carousel ride and she loved it!
Cirdan went on the Maliboomer which launches you straight up 180 feet into the air. NO THANK YOU.
Cirdan and I then rode on the Orange Stinger where you swing around inside a giant orange. It's funny because Cirdan got woozy on that one more then all the other more scarier rides he had gone on.
Kaiya then wanted to ride on the Jumpin Jellyfish with me and we ended up staying on the ride and going 2 times since there was no one in line! At this point Kaiya was getting more brave about rides and decided to try the Golden Zephyr ride which are spinning spaceships and then the Mulholland Madness mini coaster. She loved the mini roller coaster and went a couple of times. I was so glad that she was starting to really like the rides.
We then walked through the Golden State park. The Grizzly River Run was down so there wasn't really much to see. We did however go on the Soarin' Over California ride. It was awesome! You soar and swoop over famous California landmarks. In one part of the ride you soar through the orange tree groves and evergreen forest and you actually smell oranges and evergreens!

We ended our night at California Adventure at the Sunshine Plaza to watch the Pixar Play Parade. I loved every single minute of it. The people were so animated and they really looked like they were having fun. That is one parade that I would have loved to see again.

Cali Adventure closed at 8:00 so we walked over to Disneyland to spend the next 2 hours (it closed at 10). There Kaiya and I went on Snow White's Scary Adventures, Pinocchio's Daring Journey and Dumbo the Flying Elephant.

We had another day of pure fun!!! I was starting to wonder if life could get any better...
Here are some misc pictures from the day..
